  • Publication number: 20210194202
Abstract: A light source apparatus includes a gas discharge stage including a three-dimensional body defining a cavity that is configured to interact with an energy source, the body including at least two ports that are transmissive to a light beam having a wavelength in the ultraviolet range; a sensor system comprising a plurality of sensors, each sensor is configured to measure a physical aspect of a respective distinct region of the body of the gas discharge stage relative to that sensor; and a control apparatus in communication with the sensor system. The control apparatus is configured to analyze the measured physical aspects from the sensors to thereby determine a position of the body of the gas discharge stage in an XYZ coordinate system defined by an X axis, wherein the X axis is defined by the geometry of the gas discharge stage.

  • Publication number: 20180068384
Abstract: A method includes providing, by an online shopping platform, an online store for purchasing gift cards, receiving a selection of a gift card of a first value by a consumer, presenting a term sheet and an install payment schedule to the consumer, in response to receiving an approval by the consumer with respect to the term sheet and the install payment schedule, providing a form to the consumer to receive data relating to a credit card of the consumer, in response to receiving the data, transmit a pre-authorization request to a credit card processor, wherein the pre-authorization request asks for an authorized amount larger than the first value, in response to receiving an approval of the pre-authorization request, charging a first install payment to the credit card and placing an amount equal to the remaining install payments on hold.

  • Publication number: 20100031145
Abstract: A method and apparatus for streaming and/or transferring data and/or content between a source multimedia player (SMP) having mass storage and at least one destination multimedia player (DPM), including SMP connection means for bringing the inventive apparatus into either wired or wireless communication with the SMP using a selected transfer medium; a user interface and identification and selection software for identifying content on the SMP mass storage for extraction; file extraction software for extracting the content from mass storage on the SMP; input hardware for receiving content data from the SMP; formatting or storage software for formatting the extracted content into a format suitable for transmission to a DMP or for storing the content to internal or external flash memory for later transmission to one or more DMPs; transmission hardware for transmitting the formatted content, or transferring the stored content, to DMPs; and DMP connection means for bringing the inventive apparatus into wired or wire

  • Publication number: 20060050901
Abstract: A circuit and method of providing an auto-on and/or auto-off capability for an audio device, of a type having an audio plug which mates with the output jack of an audio source. The portable transmitter modulates audio signals from the audio source onto a carrier and transmits them to a receiver. The auto-on and auto-off capability is provided to prolong battery life and degradation of the transmitter circuit and comprises pinching off a FET when the circuit is in an “off” state. This occurs when a pre-determined threshold in a capacitor is reached by not discharging that capacitor. The capacitor is discharged by dropping a comparator input below a pre-determined threshold limit when presented with an audio peak and wherein the drop in value causes the comparator output to go low, causing the capacitor to discharge and causing the FET to supply power to the regulator.

  • Publication number: 20050152535
Abstract: A headphone receiver apparatus for use with low power transmitters includes a pair of headphone speaker enclosures connected by a headband. An antenna element in the form of a spring steel band or a plastic cable/antenna band where one of the conductors is utilized as the antenna is configured generally concentric with but offset from the headband and the user's head by at least 0.5 inches over at least some length of the antenna. Low-noise performance is improved by a low noise amplifier incorporated before the receiver IC, and a bandpass filter interposed between the low noise amplifier and the receiver IC. A base-loading inductor is used to tune the antenna element to resonance, with or without capacative end-loading. Lumped inductors, ferrite beads, or a parallel resonant LC circuit may be used to isolate the shield conductor at RF frequencies, and/or to reduce the loading of the other conductors.

  • Patent number: 4183547
Abstract: This device is an improved wheelie skateboard having a substantially flat horizontal portion and an integrally connected inclined rear kicktail portion. The front end of the horizontal portion has a pair of conventional skateboard wheels on a truck having a pivot bolt connected to the axle at the rear of the axle, and capable of swivelling in a conventional manner. The inclined kicktail portion has a pair of conventional skateboard wheels having a pivot bolt forward of the axle and, likewise, capable of swivelling in a normal manner. The central pair of wheels is so mounted as to be incapable of swivelling, either because of the nut on the pivot bolt (of a conventional truck), which is to the rear of the axle, is so tightened, or because a horizontal arm portion on a non-conventional truck extends from the truck rearwardly of the axle to forwardly thereof, so that such pair of wheels may tilt but may not swivel.
