  • Patent number: 10803660
Abstract: Systems and methods deforming a mesh of a target object in real-time in response to a collision with a collision object are disclosed. An embodiment includes determining an inwardly deformed position of a first vertex of the mesh based on an intersection point of a boundary associated with the collision object with a ray, the ray connecting a point of an internal element of the target object with a reference position of the first vertex, wherein the inwardly deformed position of the first vertex corresponds to a first deformation magnitude of the first vertex from the reference position to the inwardly deformed position.

  • Patent number: 8400455
Abstract: A method for use in animation includes establishing an influence primitive, associating the influence primitive with a model having a plurality of model points, and for each of the plurality of model points on the model, determining an offset primitive that passes through the model point. Another method includes deforming the model, and determining a deformed position of each of the plurality of model points by using a separate offset primitive for each model point. A computer readable storage medium stores a computer program adapted to cause a processor based system to execute one or more the above steps.

  • Patent number: 8366757
Abstract: The present invention relates to a foam pad containing far-infrared and/or ion generating particles and method for producing such foam material. The method for producing the foam pad consists of mixing fine particles of a far-infrared and/or ion emitting stone into the base material prior to further processing such as forming, molding or extruding the material. Alternatively, the fine particles of far-infrared and/or ion generating stone may be mixed with an adhesive and used as a coating on the foam pad. The stone generating far-infrared radiation and/or ions is preferably from the group consisting of tourmaline, granite porphyry, quartz porphyry, zeolite, perlite, serpentine, or mixture thereof.

  • Patent number: 7305893
Abstract: An oscillating vane actuator for active control of fluid flow over a surface includes a pivoted vane surrounded by a wedge-shaped chamber, and first and second conduits with openings adjacent the surface. The actuator also includes a rotating shaft with a connecting rod to actuate the vane in a oscillatory manner. As the vane travels in one direction, fluid is forced out from the chamber through the first conduit and opening into the fluid stream adjacent the surface, while fluid is simultaneously drawn in through the second opening and conduit into the opposite side of the chamber. Similarly, when the vane travels in the opposite direction, fluid is forced out through the second conduit and opening into the fluid stream adjacent the surface, while fluid is simultaneously drawn in through the first opening and conduit.
