  • Publication number: 20240151500
Abstract: A method of forming ballistic glass includes heat forming a polycarbonate panel while the polycarbonate panel is sandwiched between a non-planar glass panel and a mold panel such that the polycarbonate panel is formed to a geometry of the glass panel. The polycarbonate panel is positioned adjacent the glass panel such that a volume of space is defined therebetween, and the volume of space is filled with a flowable resin. The resin is cured to form an intermediate polymer layer between the polycarbonate panel and the glass panel. Ballistic glass may be formed using such methods. Vehicles may include such ballistic glass.

  • Patent number: 10793137
Abstract: A hybrid electric vehicle having a controllable switch that enables a DC link to be operated independent from an energy storage system (ESS) is provided. The ESS is selectively couplable to the DC link via the controllable switch. A processor is configured to control the switch to open and close under certain conditions. When the switch is opened, the processor is configured to instruct an engine controller to cause an engine which is coupled to a generator to boost engine output. The generator is coupled to a generator inverter which is also coupled to the DC link. A motor inverter is also coupled to the DC link and is configured to provide AC power to the motor.

  • Patent number: 8505524
Abstract: A bow apparatus comprising a bow having first and second tips, a string which is attached between the first and second tips, and a shaft having a first shaft end and a second shaft end. The first shaft end is secured proximate the midpoint of the string. The shaft passes through a shaft stabilizer. The second shaft end has a golf ball holder. The bow apparatus is used to play a new modified version of archery golf by holding a golf ball with the golf ball holder. The user pulls the shaft to tension the string, aims the shaft towards the cup target, and then releases the shaft to project the golf ball towards the cup target. The bow apparatus further comprises a putter block for hitting the golf ball into the cup target once the golf ball is close to the cup target and on the green.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a bow apparatus comprising a bow having first and second tips, a string which is attached between the first and second tips and a shaft having a first shaft end and a second shaft end. The first shaft end is secured proximate the midpoint of the string. The shaft passes through a shaft stabilizer located proximate the midpoint of the bow. The second shaft end has a projectile holder. The bow apparatus is used to play a new modified version of archery golf by holding the ball with the projectile holder. The user pulls the shaft to tension the string, aims the shaft towards the cup target, and then releases the shaft to project the ball towards the cup target. The bow apparatus further comprises a putter block for hitting the ball into the cup target once the ball is close to the cup target and on the green.

  • Patent number: 7326714
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for treating diseases or disease states which are mediated or otherwise affected by the extracellular release of cytokines, said method comprising the step of administering to a human or higher mammal in need of treatment, one or more of the 6,7-dihydro-5H-pyrazolo[1,2a]pyrazol-1-ones of the present invention.

  • Publication number: 20070213160
Abstract: A transmission drive system (TDS) for a differential speed steered vehicle, in particular a track-laying vehicle (tank or armored personnel carrier), has two AC induction traction motors, each operatively coupled to two semi-independent coaxial traction shafts, and two AC induction steer motors coaxially mounted on a common steer axis parallel to the coaxial traction shafts. A steering gear assembly, preferably between the traction and steering motors, has a common steer input shaft operatively connected to the two AC induction steering motors. Two planetary gear sets have the two traction shafts being operatively connected with one of a two planet gear carriers, or two ring gears, respectively. The other of the planet gear carriers or the ring gears are operatively connected with each other. Two offset gears mounted to the steer input shaft and meshing with two sun gears, respectively, including a reversing idler gear interposed between one of the two offset gears and one of the two sun gears.

  • Publication number: 20070157803
Abstract: A gas separation module 25 is disclosed for separating air into nitrogen 27 and oxygen 26 enriched fractions. The nitrogen enriched fraction 27 may be used to inert an atmosphere inside a fuel tank 32. The air is separated into nitrogen 27 and oxygen 26 enriched fractions by providing a plurality of strands of gas separation membrane wound around a core and maintaining a pressure difference across the walls of the strands of membrane. A low pressure difference of?30 psi maintained across the membrane is able to effect gas separation and provide highly nitrogen enriched air. The membrane has preferably been subjected to a modification technique to increase its gas permeability.

  • Patent number: 4005586
Abstract: A refrigerated butter dispenser comprising a receptacle for containing crushed ice and an invertable cover unit which has on one side thereof a handle for lifting the cover and on the other an outwardly extending tapered skirt defining interiorly thereof a butter receiving chamber. When the dispenser is not being used, the cover is positioned so that the skirt portion depends inwardly of the receptacle, keeping the butter contained therein in close proximity with the crushed ice. When it is desired to remove the butter from the dispenser, the cover is inverted so that the skirt portion extends upwardly, making the butter chamber readily accessible to the user.
