  • Publication number: 20240089012
Abstract: A signal transmission system for transmitting a main process variable and further data between a field device and a superordinate unit, includes a first conversion arrangement, a second conversion arrangement and an optocoupler arrangement. The optocoupler arrangement is connected between the first conversion arrangement and the second conversion arrangement. The first conversion arrangement is configured to convert at least the further data exchanged between the field device and the superordinate unit into a data signal transmittable via the optocoupler arrangement. The optocoupler arrangement transmits the data signal between the first conversion arrangement and the second conversion arrangement. The second conversion arrangement converts the data signal to the further data and transmits it to the field device. A method transmits a main process variable and further data between a field device and a superordinate unit. In the method, at least the further data is transmitted via an optocoupler arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6829855
Abstract: A magazine-protecting, ambidextrous device for carrying a loaded spare magazine attached to a firearm buttstock in position for rapid removal and insertion into the firing position of the firearm. The loaded spare magazine is restrained within a well formed in the buttstock by a retractable latch pivotably mounted such that when the spare magazine is removed, the latch retracts below the exterior surface of the firearm buttstock, protecting the latch from damage and reducing the profile of the weapon. The spare magazine is carried in such a way as to protect the open end of the magazine and the ammunition carried therein from dirt and/or damage.

  • Patent number: 4058065
Abstract: The railway truck disclosed herein is provided with a split axle composed of two transverse aligned axle members each having mounted on the outer end thereof a rail wheel. The inner ends of the axle members in one embodiment are connected by means forming a movable joint between such inner ends to enable the axle members to be moved to raise the rail wheels from the tracks, such connecting means also including means to restrict the relative movements of the two axle members. In this embodiment the two axle members are pivotally connected to the vehicle by means which enables lateral movement of such members during such relative movements thereof. Means are provided to raise the jointed inner ends of such axle members to raise the rail wheels. In another embodiment, the outer end of each axle member is supported by a main load carrying floating bearing construction permitting movement of such member about a pivot point located directly above the rail.

  • Patent number: 3945326
Abstract: The vehicle disclosed herein is provided with a running gear composed of two transverse aligned drive units each provided with a wheel axle having mounted on the outer end thereof a rail wheel and a tire wheel. The inner ends of the drive units are connected by means forming a movable joint between such inner ends to enable the units to be moved from positions in which the rail wheels are operable and the tire wheels are inoperable to positions in which the tire wheels are operable and the rail wheels are inoperable, such connecting means also including means to restrict the relative movements of the two drive units. The two drive units are pivotally connected to the vehicle by means which enables lateral movement of such units during the pivotal movements of the latter in one direction or the other.
