  • Patent number: 11268967
Abstract: The present invention discloses a diagnostic device or kit for visual detection of bilirubin. Said diagnostic device or kit comprises chitosan stabilized gold nanoclusters based luminescence source, Cu2+ ions source for quenching luminescence intensity of said gold nanoclusters and recovery of quenched luminescence intensity in the presence of bilirubin. The said device enables non-invasive detection of hyper-bilirubinemia by thumb impression visually or from blood serum.

Assignee: INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, GUWAHATI
Inventors: Arun Chattopadhyay, Anumita Paul, Srestha Basu, Amaresh Kumar Sahoo
  • Patent number: 11213827
Abstract: A device with integrated methods for carrying out reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and/or array based analysis involving signal generating agents (gold nanoclusters) comprising a heating and cooling cycle based synthesis selectively with DIMA and protein as templates. The advancement is further directed to a portable device adapted for RT-PCR and array based gene and protein expression analyses based on a common detection agent involving luminescence of in-situ synthesized gold nanoclusters with adaptability for user friendly graphical user interface (GUI) for controlling, visualization and analysis of the data.

  • Patent number: 6833162
Abstract: A process for generating colored nanolithography patterns of parallel lines or cross pattern lines on a glass or plastic substrate, said process consisting the steps of pressing a polycarbonate or aluminium mold obtained from a compact disk on a glass or plastic surface inked with a permanent marker ink for one or more times to create lithographic patterns of parallel colored lines or cross pattern lines. Also, the present invention provides a method for generating colored nanolithography patterns of parallel lines or cross pattern lines on a glass or plastic substrate having dried ink, said process consisting keeping the plastic or glass substrate having the dried ink in a chamber containg ethanol or toluene for about 10 seconds followed by pressing the polycarbonate or aluminium mold obtained from a compact disk on the glass or plastic surface to generate the pattern.

  • Patent number: 5240524
Abstract: High density ammonium nitrate particles, e.g. prills are treated to reduce the density thereof by contact with a liquid medium which penetrates into the particles via pre-existing pathways, dissolves ammonium nitrate at the surfaces of the pathways and produces a gassing reaction by virtue of the presence of a chemical gassing agent or by a reaction with the ammonium nitrate whereby a portion of the ammonium nitrate particle is depleted by dissolution or gas losses during reaction, the gassing action facilitating venting of liquid from the particles and drying thereof to yield a particle of higher porosity.
