Patent number: 11734100Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are related to a non-transitory computer readable storage medium. In some embodiments, the medium includes instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to receive, at a node of a cluster on an edge network, an indication that the cluster received a configuration update, compare a first parameter of a configuration state of the node to a second parameter of the configuration update, determine if the first parameter matches the second parameter, in response to determining that the first parameter matches the second parameter, apply the configuration update, and collect data in accordance with the configuration update.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2020Date of Patent: August 22, 2023Assignee: Nutanix, Inc.Inventors: Isha Singhal, Venkata Vamsi Krishna Kothuri, Matthew James Armstrong, Praveen Uday Bhaskara Pisipati, Anurag Choudhary, Arvind Mohan

Patent number: 11669735Abstract: A system and method for automatically generating recurrent neural networks for log anomaly detection uses a controller recurrent neural network that generates an output set of hyperparameters when an input set of controller parameters is applied to the controller recurrent neural network. The output set of hyperparameters is applied to a target recurrent neural network to produce a child recurrent neural network with an architecture that is defined by the output set of hyperparameters. The child recurrent neural network is then trained, and a log classification accuracy of the child recurrent neural network is computed. Using the log classification accuracy, at least one of the controller parameters used to generate the child recurrent neural network is adjusted to produce a different input set of controller parameters to be applied to the controller recurrent neural network so that a different child recurrent neural network for log anomaly detection can be generated.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2020Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: VMWARE, INC.Inventors: Ala Shaabana, Arvind Mohan, Vikram Nair, Anant Agarwal, Aalap Desai, Ravi Kant Cherukupalli, Pawan Saxena

Publication number: 20230030961Abstract: A data processing system (DPS) uses platform protection technology (PPT) to protect some or all of the code and data belonging to certain software modules. The PPT may include a virtual machine monitor (VMM) to enable an untrusted application and a trusted application to run on top of a single operating system (OS), while preventing the untrusted application from accessing memory used by the trusted application. The VMM may use a first extended page table (EPT) to translate a guest physical address (GPA) into a first host physical address (HPA) for the untrusted application. The VMM may use a second EPT to translate the GPA into a second HPA for the trusted application. The first and second EPTs may map the same GPA to different HPAs. Other embodiments are described and claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2022Publication date: February 2, 2023Applicant: Intel CorporationInventors: Rajesh P. Publication number: 20220206280Abstract: The inventions provide microscopes for imaging samples within wells of multi-well plates. Microscopes of the disclosure include a beam homogenizer system that shapes a beam from a light source into a shape specific to the bottom of a well of a multi-well plate. In particular, microscopes of the disclosure can illuminate wells for imaging by passing light through a prism that is beneath the sample. The light enters the prism from the side and as refracted into the well at a steep angle such that the light only illuminates about a bottom ten microns of the well. The beam homogenizer shapes the light from the light source so that, instead of hitting the prism as a spot with an irregular shape, the light enters the prism in a substantially rectangular pattern with homogeneous optical power level over the pattern.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2021Publication date: June 30, 2022Inventors: Christopher Werley, Yang Lu, Arvind Mohan, Pin Liu, Graham T.
