  • Publication number: 20240081172
Abstract: A seeding apparatus includes an implement frame and front and rear frame members are pivotally mounted to the implement and furrow openers mounted to each. In an operating position the front and rear furrow openers are engaged in the ground and separated by an operating distance, and can be raised to an idle position where the furrow openers are above the ground and the front and rear furrow openers are separated by an idle distance that is greater than the operating distance. The implement frame has an inner wing pivotally attached to a center frame, and an outer wing pivotally attached to the inner wing. The inner wing section pivots upward and the outer wing section pivots downward supported by a transport wheel. When in the transport position the inner and outer wing sections extend upward from the center frame section and the transport wheel is above the ground.

  • Publication number: 20190029177
Abstract: In a header for a crop harvester including two side drapers each a front edge adjacent the cutter bar and a feed draper including a feed draper belt, a front roller behind the cutter bar and parallel thereto and a rear roller with two side edges each adjacent a respective one of the side drapers there is provided a pair of edge seals for engaging a respective side edge of the feed draper belt each comprising a strip of a flexible material extending from a frame member adjacent the respective side edge to a position in engagement with the feed draper at or adjacent the side edge. The strip is distorted by an interference connection with the draper belt so as to follow sagging of the edge of the draper belt by flexing and is biased by a downturned flange of the mounting member into an interference connection with the draper belt.

  • Patent number: 9706707
Abstract: In a swather a support arm is attached to the header to carry the heavy hydraulic hoses which are connected to the tractor for supplying the drive fluid to the hydraulic system of the header. The support arm is articulated so as to accommodate the up-and-down and twisting movement of the header relative to the tractor during harvesting action and this supported to prevent collapse when the hoses are disconnected from the tractor manifold. The support arm is attached at the rear to the tractor preferably at the wheel strut by a releasable ball joint coupling. From the coupling at the wheel strut, there is a free portion of the hydraulic hoses which extends to the manifold at the tractor where the ends of the hoses are attached to manually graspable handle portions which can be lifted away and the attached to a bracket on the support arm.
