Abstract: Disclosed is an absorbent article including an absorbent member arranged between a topsheet and backsheet, the absorbent member having a front edge and a rear edge, the absorbent member including a first absorbent layer having a first layer front edge and a first layer rear edge and a second layer, the first absorbent layer being shorter than the second layer, wherein the first and the second layers include super absorbent polymer particles, wherein the absorbent member is provided with at least two channels extending in a longitudinal direction and on a respective side of a longitudinal centerline of the absorbent article, the first layer including a higher amount of superabsorbent polymer particles than the second absorbent layer, the absorbent member having a total absorbent capacity of 1100 ml or more, wherein a ratio between the front edge distance and the rear edge distance is 1.5 or greater.

Abstract: An absorbent article in the form of pants includes: an absorbent core having two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges, and a pant part. The pant part includes a covering layer, a front section, a back section and an intermediate crotch section, wherein the front and back sections are connected to one another along two opposing longitudinal lateral edges to form a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. The absorbent core is arranged at least in the crotch section and connected to the covering layer on the side of the covering layer that is intended to face the wearer. The pant part includes at least one low-opacity area, which has an opacity that is lower than 50%. The article also includes a liquid-tight coloured barrier layer placed between said absorbent core and covering layer.

Abstract: A disposable absorbent product has a longitudinal dimension and a transverse dimension orthogonal to the longitudinal dimension. The product has a first absorbent assembly, as well as a second absorbent assembly that overlays the first absorbent assembly. The first absorbent assembly includes a first topsheet and a fluid-impervious first backsheet in overlaying relationship with one another, with the first backsheet and the first topsheet being respectively configured to face away from and toward a wearer of the disposable absorbent product during use. The first absorbent assembly has a pair of lateral edges. The second absorbent assembly is releasably coupled to the first absorbent assembly, and includes a second topsheet configured to face toward the wearer of the absorbent product during use, and a second backsheet adjacent the first topsheet and in overlaying relationship with the second topsheet.

Abstract: A protector for male incontinent persons includes an absorbent body (1) enclosed between an inner liquid-permeable casing sheet (3) and an outer liquid-impermeable casing sheet (2) and having a crotch end part (7) and a front end part (6) opposite to the crotch end part. The front end part is wider than the crotch end part. The lateral sides of the protector are tapering from the front part to the crotch part so that the protector has a triangular shape. The protector also includes means (8,9) affixed to the outer liquid-impermeable casing sheet for attachment to an underwear. The attachment means at least includes a string of attachment means (8,9) extending along each tapering lateral side.

Abstract: An absorbent article, such as a diaper, panty diaper, sanitary napkin or incontinence device includes a liquid-permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core enclosed between the liquid-permeable topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes acidic fluff pulp having a pH of 5.5 or less and an organic zinc salt, in particular zinc ricinoleate. The combination of organic zinc salt and acidic fluff pulp exerts a synergetic effect in the suppression of ammonia.

Abstract: An absorbent article includes an elastic web material having an aperture formed therein, and an absorbent unit attached to a wearer facing side of the elastic web material so as to cover the aperture. The elastic web material surrounds the absorbent unit on all sides thereof. The absorbent unit is attached to the elastic web material with the elastic web material being in an extended state of at least 30% in both the longitudinal and transverse directions of the article.

Abstract: An elasticized web has a gatherable substrate and a multi-strand elastic yarn affixed to the gatherable substrate at a plurality of fixation locations. So that the yarn can be affixed to the substrate without the use of an adhesive, the yarn is subjected to forces to create partial delamination of the yarn at the fixation locations and a portion of the gatherable substrate is caused to pass between the thus delaminated strands of the multi-strand elastic yarn. The elasticized web of the present invention is particularly suitable for use in disposable absorbent articles.

Abstract: The invention relates to an absorbent article for taking up body fluids, with a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction, a crotch portion (8) and two end portions (6, 7), and having side edges (9, 10) extending in the longitudinal direction and end edges (11, 12) extending in the transverse direction, and comprising a liquid-permeable cover sheet (2) and a liquid-tight cover sheet (3), and an absorbent body (4) arranged between the cover sheets (2, 3), and further comprising barriers which are arranged along the side edges (9, 10) of the article and which are raised up from the liquid-permeable cover sheet (2). Said first fastening means (8) at least include an adhering surface (12, 12′) and surface of mechanical fastening means, especially hook and loop fasteners (11), whereby at least the adhering surface (12, 12′) is arranged on a unfoldable tab (15), which in a first folded position covers the mechanical fastening means (11) and in a second unfolded position uncovers this.
