  • Publication number: 20200183661
Abstract: A vehicle, control system for the vehicle and method of operating the vehicle. The control system includes a target processor, a binary executable program and an instruction set simulator (ISS). The binary executable program is compiled to run on a legacy processor in order to operate the vehicle. The ISS is configured to run on the target processor and emulate operation of the legacy processor. The binary executable program runs on the target processor via the ISS in order to operate the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20200117495
Abstract: A method of zone controlling of features and functions of a vehicle is provided. The zone controlling includes a backbone, which is communicatively coupled to a connected compute center and zone modules, communicating inputs and outputs with respect to the features and the functions. The connected compute center host processing operations that control the features and the functions of the vehicle based on the inputs and outputs communicated via the backbone. The zone modules distribute the inputs and outputs to and from the features and the functions of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5930257
Abstract: A network router that routes internetwork packets between distinct networks coupled to the same physical interface. The router comprises a port for coupling to a multiplexing fabric that carries internetwork traffic for a plurality of distinct networks and a routing engine that routes internetwork traffic between the plurality of networks using the port. According to various embodiments, the multiplexing fabric may be a switched fabric or a shared media fabric. The multiplexing fabric may also be used to connect networks that operate according to different protocols to the same port.

  • Patent number: 5854899
Abstract: A system for managing virtual circuits and determining proper routing of packets in a network environment. The network includes a connection-oriented subnetwork and an arrangement of routers coupled to the connection-oriented subnetwork. The system determines paths to each exit router by considering all possible paths through the connection-oriented subnetwork. The system also determines paths to each exit router by considering existing virutal circuits through the connection-oriented subnetwork. Finally, the system determines and establishes a most beneficial new virtual circuit for the network. Additionally, the rate at which new virtual circuits are established may be regulated by the system.
