  • Publication number: 20240146273
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable storage medium are described for media presentation device or microphone calibration via event detection. An adjustment event is detected based on an analysis of a received signal. A determination to adjust at least one of a volume setting of a media presentation device or a gain setting of a microphone is made based at least on the detected adjustment event. Responsive to the determination, a first command is transmitted to at least one of the media presentation device or the microphone. In an aspect, the received signal is an audio data signal received from a listening device. In another aspect, the received signal is a command signal received from a second computing device via a network interface, the command signal comprising instructions to adjust the volume setting of the media presentation device, the second computing device remotely located and associated with a second user.

  • Patent number: 11971886
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for active learning for natural language question answering are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes generating a semantic signature of a natural language query; generating a SQL signature for a SQL query corresponding to the natural language query; determining whether a set of mappings includes a semantic signature matching the generated semantic signature, wherein each mapping in the set is between (i) a given semantic signature and (ii) a SQL signature representing a class of SQL queries corresponding to the given semantic signature; and in response to determining that the set of mappings does not include the generated semantic signature, adding a mapping between the generated semantic signature and the generated SQL signature to the set of mappings.

  • Publication number: 20240127435
Abstract: The present subject matter discloses a system and method for automatically detecting and quantifying a plaque/stenosis in a vascular ultrasound scan data in real time using Deep learning models. The system receives a video data and selects one or more frames/images for further processing to detect and quantify the plaque in the artery. Based on the selected one or more frames, the system detects a region of interest (ROI) and further processes the ROI. The system selects end points of a deposits of the plaque by taking a maximum length of the plaque in the artery/plaque boundary and determines the orientation of the vascular ultrasound scan. Based on the orientation and the selected end points, the system determines a vessel/artery boundary to identify a size of the plaque. Based on the determined vessel boundary and the orientation, the system determines plaque segments and measures parameters of the plaque.

  • Publication number: 20240121242
Abstract: Some embodiments help manage cybersecurity insider risk. An authorized user influence pillar value is based on an influence signal representing the user's actual or potential influence in a computing environment. An authorized user access pillar value is based on an access signal representing the user's actual or potential access to resources. An impact risk value is calculated as a weighted combination of the pillar values. In response, an embodiment automatically adjusts a cybersecurity characteristic, such as a security risk score, security group membership, threat detection mechanism, or alert threshold. In some cases, impact risk is also based on a cumulative potential exfiltration anomaly access signal. In some cases, impact risk is based on one or more values which represent user public visibility, user social network influence, brand damage risk, resource mission criticality, access request response speed or success rate, or a known cybersecurity attack.

  • Patent number: 11715038
Abstract: In accordance with various embodiments, described herein are systems and methods for use of computer-implemented machine learning to automatically determine insights of facts, segments, outliers, or other information associated with a set of data, for use in generating visualizations of the data. In accordance with an embodiment, the system can receive a data set that includes data points having data values and attributes, and a target attribute, and use a machine learning process to automatically determine one or more other attributes as driving factors for the target attribute, based on, for example, the use of a decision tree and a comparison of information gain, Gini, or other indices associated with attributes in the data set. Information describing facts associated with the data set can be graphically displayed at a user interface, as visualizations, and used as a starting point for further analysis of the data set.

  • Patent number: 11694118
Abstract: In accordance with various embodiments, described herein are systems and methods for use of computer-implemented machine learning to automatically determine insights of facts, segments, outliers, or other information associated with a set of data, for use in generating visualizations of the data. In accordance with an embodiment, the system can use a machine learning process to automatically determine one or more outliers or findings within the data, based on, for example, determining a plurality of combinations representing pairs of attribute dimensions within a data set, from which a general explanation or pattern can be determined for one or more attributes, and then comparing particular values for attributes, with the determined pattern for those attributes. Information describing such outliers or findings can be graphically displayed at a user interface, as text, graphs, charts, or other types of visualizations, and used as a starting point for further analysis of the data set.

  • Patent number: 11475007
Abstract: A query optimization system is described that, at runtime, optimizes the execution pipeline generated for a query. Based upon communications between nodes in the execution pipeline, the execution pipeline generated for a query is optimized by modifying the execution pipeline to create a modified execution pipeline. The modified execution pipeline is then executed to execute the query and results obtained for the query. The changes or modifications made to an execution pipeline may include changing the capabilities (e.g., changes to inputs and/or outputs of a node, changing the task(s) or function(s) performed by the node) of one or more nodes within the execution pipeline. The changes may include changing the position of one or more nodes within a directed acyclic graph representing the execution pipeline.

  • Patent number: 11307984
Abstract: Optimized techniques are disclosed for sorting variable-length records using an optimized amount of memory while maintaining good locality of references. The amount of memory required for sorting the variable length records is optimized by reusing some of the memory used for storing the variable length records being sorted. Pairs of input runs storing variable length records may be merged into a merged run that contains the records in a sorted order by incrementally scanning, sorting, and copying the records from the two input runs being merged into memory pages of the merged run. When all the records of a memory page of an input run have been processed or copied to the merged run, that memory page can be emptied and released to a cache of empty memory pages. Memory pages available from the cache of empty memory pages can then be used for generating the merged run.

  • Patent number: 11200222
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for correcting a natural language interface database (NLIDB) system. The techniques include receiving feedback indicating that an answer provided in response to a question for an NLIDB system is inaccurate. The techniques further include finding an ontology element for a datastore of the NLIDB system that matches to the feedback. The techniques also include selecting candidate annotations for the NLIDB system based on the ontology element and a data type of the ontology element. Additionally, the techniques include generating a question-answer (QA) pair for each of the candidate annotations. Further, the techniques include adding one of the candidate annotations to annotations for a natural language query (NLQ) engine of the NLIDB system based on a client verification of the QA pair.
