Publication number: 20230185622Abstract: A method includes obtaining a graph that includes a plurality of nodes each representing a computational job and connected to one or more other nodes via edges. Each edge represents a dependency between two connected nodes. For each computing device of a distributed computing system, the method includes obtaining resource characteristics. The method includes slicing, based on the dependencies of connected nodes, the graph into a plurality of sub-graphs each including one or more nodes. For each respective sub-graph, the method includes determining a computational cost of the respective sub-graph and distributing, based on the computational cost and the resource characteristics, the respective sub-graph to the respective one of the computing devices. The method includes receiving a respective result from the respective one of the computing devices based on execution of the computational jobs. The method includes determining a total result based on each respective result.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 13, 2021Publication date: June 15, 2023Applicant: Google LLCInventors: Ashish Saxena, Juan Antonio Navarro Perez, Pavel Shmakov, Cyril Chimisov, Vinsensius B.Vega S Naryanto, Matej Rizman, Matthew Pearce

Publication number: 20180063670Abstract: Background threads are used to execute various background tasks for mobile applications that are inactive on mobile client devices. A background service monitors telemetry data of the mobile client device and interacts with an application service that provides various services for triggering and responding to the background tasks of the mobile applications. The background tasks are scheduled for execution during timeframes that have historically shown to be times that the mobile application is not actively engaged by a user. The telemetry data collected by the mobile client device may be transmitted and used by the application server to identify the presence of mobile applications on mobile computing devices, locate bugs in the mobile applications, modify shared files, move files of lesser-used mobile applications in and out of cache memory, package application download packages specific to the users of the mobile client devices, and provide application upgrades.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 26, 2016Publication date: March 1, 2018Inventors: Neeraj Garg, Ashish Saxena, Amrut Kale, Abhineet Bansal

Patent number: 9332017Abstract: Techniques to provide an improved representation of remote network access for a network administrator managing and controlling access to resources on an enterprise network. The representation indicates resources accessed by a remote computer or by a user of that computer and provides associated information useful for managing remote network access. To create the representation, multiple security associations formed between a remote client computer and resources on the enterprise network are associated with entity sessions, based on identical session identifiers generated for each security association within an entity session. The entity sessions may be aggregated into a DirectAccess “connection” between the remote client computer and the enterprise network, based on an identity of the remote client computer. Resources accessed over the connection may be identified using a session identifier of each entity session so that security associations in that entity session may be matched with the resources.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2014Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Inventors: Dhiraj K. Gupta, Gerardo Diaz-Cuellar, Ashish Saxena, Abhishek Tiwari

Publication number: 20140351088Abstract: Disclosed is a real estate information delivery system for assisting a user in choosing a neighborhood so as to purchase, rent, or lease a real estate property therewithin. The system comprises a database comprising a plurality of neighborhood entries representing neighborhoods. Each neighborhood entry is associated with a plurality of neighborhood factor scores wherein, a factor score represents a score of a predetermined neighborhood factor that potentially influences the decision pertaining to the purchasing, renting, or leasing of a real estate property within the neighborhood. The system is configured to enable a user, via a user interface, to choose a plurality of predetermined factors that form the criteria of the user in selecting a neighborhood. Each chosen factor is assigned a percentage weightage value. A calculation module calculates, for each neighborhood, the weighted average of the factor scores pertaining to the user-chosen factors.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 22, 2013Publication date: November 27, 2014Inventor: Ashish Saxena
