  • Publication number: 20150347974
Abstract: A system includes a database, a network interface, and a processor. The database includes, for each multiple users of a social network, profile data and activities, by the user, related to the social network. The network interface is configured to be communicatively coupled to user devices associated with the population of users. The processor is configured to obtain a recruitment search query for a position in an organization, compare the recruitment search query against the profile data of at least some of the users to obtain a comparison, determine, for each of the at least some of the users, a likelihood of interacting with a recruiter associated with the position based on the activities of each of the at least some of the users, and transmit, to at least one of the users, a communication related to the position based, at least in part, on the comparison and the likelihood of interacting.

  • Publication number: 20150261802
Abstract: An entity using a computing device can upload searchable data to a network service to be indexed and stored. The data can include a plurality of data fields, each data field having one or more associated values. The network service can analyze the data fields and their respectively associated values to determine data field types for the data fields and search options to be enabled for the data fields. Based at least in part on the data field types and the search options, the network service can generate a search index configuration/schema. Based at least in part on the generated search index configuration/schema, the network service can generate a search index for the data. In some embodiments, the network service can also convert the data into a format compatible with the search index.

  • Patent number: 7765227
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and system for refining a search to locate information about an item based on predetermined search categories. More specifically, the method and system dynamically display search categories based on relevancy information of a search result. A search category generally includes a set of category values which are used to filter the data entries into a subset of the search result. The data entries are returned after searching on data stores with a search query provided by a user and then the ranks of the returned data entries are determined based on a degree of relevancy with the search query. The data entries are displayed in order of the ranks and the set of category values for a search category are displayed to reflect the ranks of the data entries.
