Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to commentary management in a social networking environment. The social networking environment may include a set of media clips. The set of media clips may be analyzed in the social networking environment with respect to a set of commentary typology data. Based on the analyzing, a set of benchmark typology data which indicates a set of commentary norms of the set of media clips may be determined. A set of benchmark typology data may be established for utilization by the social networking environment.

Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to biometric-based sentiment management in a social networking environment. A set of biometric data for an originating-user of an electronic message may be detected using a set of biometric sensors. Based on the set of biometric data, an originating-user sentiment for at least a portion of the electronic message may be determined. The electronic message and the originating-user sentiment for at least the portion of the electronic message may be compiled to establish a compiled message. The compiled message which indicates the originating-user sentiment for at least the portion of the electronic message may be provided in the social networking environment.

Abstract: Embodiments generally relate to facilitating communication in a collaboration environment. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving a message in a collaboration environment. The method further includes determining a group of users based on text in the message, where one or more key words in the text indicate the group of users. The method further includes obtaining a collaboration history associated with the group of users, where the collaboration history includes collaboration statistics. The method further includes determining a subgroup of users from the group of users based on the collaboration statistics, where the collaboration statistics indicate a level of collaboration activity that meets one or more predetermined collaboration requirements. The method further includes sending notifications to users in the subgroup of users, where the notifications invite the users of the subgroup to respond to the message.

Abstract: Provided are techniques for finding content on computer networks. A search request having search terms is received. The search request is executed against an index to identify first search results, wherein the index comprises mappings of search terms to web sites and mappings of search terms to patterns. In response to determining that the search request failed based on first search results, an unknown search term in the search terms that does not exist in the index is found. The unknown search term is matched to a pattern of a similar search term using the mappings of search terms to patterns. A candidate web site is identified based on the matching. Additional content is requested from the candidate web site for the unknown search term to identify second search results comprising previously hidden content. The additional content is indexed.

Natural language processing techniques parse task-oriented messages for individual tasks, such as assignments, information requests, and requests for approval or authorization. A user interface provides a recipient of a task-oriented message with selectable tasks for individual, or group, disposition, such as respond, defer, delegate, mark answered, and ignore. Recipients are notified if an incomplete response is generated, such as when an identified task is not dispositioned.

Abstract: Electronic meeting time of arrival estimation is described. A number of attendees to an electronic meeting are identified. Based on an indication that a first attendee is in another electronic meeting, an estimated time of arrival for that first attendee to the electronic meeting is determined. Other attendees to the electronic meeting are provided with the estimated time of arrival of the first attendee.

Abstract: Provided are techniques for controlling message delivery corresponding to a near field communication (NFC) device, comprising establishing, on a mobile computing device, a rule-based session corresponding to a NFC device; executing an application, corresponding to the NFC device, in conjunction with the session; and responsive to detecting a condition meeting a criterion corresponding to the rule-based session, limiting execution of the application on the mobile computing device in conformity with the criterion.

Abstract: Adjusting system actions based on an absence of relationship acceptance may include detecting absence of connection acceptance by one or more first users in a computer-implemented social networking system. Patterns of the absence of connection acceptance of the one or more first users may be correlated. Users with common patterns of absence of connection acceptance may be clustered into a cluster of users. Absence of connection acceptance by a second user may be detected. Responsive to determining that a pattern of the absence of connection acceptance associated with the second user matches with the common patterns, a profile associated with the second user may be updated according to a template profile associated with the cluster. System actions of the social networking system may be activated for the second user based on the profile updated according to the template profile.

Abstract: A computer system implemented method detects that a sender is composing a message designated for delivery to recipients via a computer network. A recipient is selected as an early recipient based on records of reactions associated with historical records for past messages of the recipients. Prior to sending the message, the computer system finds a historical record of the early recipient that matches a portion of the message and presents the sender with a reaction indication based on a record of reaction associated with the historical record of the early recipient that matches the message portion. The computer system receives a modification from the sender for the message portion and generates a modified message by applying the modification to the message. The computer system sends the message to all the recipients, including sending the modified message portion after applying the received modification to the message portion.

In some embodiments, a method includes monitoring content characteristics of messages provided by users in a collaboration environment, where the content characteristics include individual usage statistics. The method further includes determining community characteristics based at least in part on the group usage statistics. The method further includes providing one or more recommendations to at least one user who writes at least one new message based at least in part on the community characteristics and based at least in part on one or more recommendation policies.

Abstract: Generation of customized response messages is described. According to the method, an incoming communication request is received and a relationship between an initiator of the communication request and a recipient of the communication request is determined. Based on a number of calendars for the recipient, an availability of the recipient is determined. When the recipient is unavailable, a customized response message is generated. The customized response message 1) is based on the relationship between the initiator and the recipient and 2) indicates an estimated response time for the recipient based on the availability of the recipient.

Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for adding conversation context from detected audio to contact records. An audio stream is received through a microphone of a personal computing device. Context analysis is performed of the audio stream to detect conversation context in the audio stream. A request is received to associate the conversation context with a selected contact person. A determination is made of conversation context detected from a segment of the audio stream received during a period of time from when the request was received. The conversation context determined for the period of time is included in a contact record for the selected contact person. The contact record is stored in a contact database including a plurality of contact records for a plurality of contact persons, wherein the contact records include conversation context and location information associated with the contact persons.

Abstract: A method and system for performing a root cause analysis. A central processing unit (CPU) tracks a focal point of a user's eye gaze. The CPU correlates the focal point of the user's eye gaze to a viewing position of a display device displaying a file that includes event data being viewed by the user. The CPU identifies, as a function of the viewing position, events of interest in the event data and an amount of time that the event data is viewed by the user. The CPU outputs, as a function of a linear regression model, an interest score pertaining to one or more events of interest that were previously identified as a function of the user's eye gaze. The interest score is a probability of each identified event of interest being a root cause of a defect.

Abstract: Presenting an electronic message includes receiving an electronic message, the electronic message includes a message originator, a message recipient, and a number of digital stamps wherein each of the number of digital stamps is associated with a social network, validating each digital stamp by contacting the social network associated with that digital stamp, when a digital stamp is validated, identifying a social relationship between the message recipient and the message originator using the social network corresponding to that digital stamp, and displaying, with the electronic message, an indication of the social relationship.

The computing device may identify a user contribution pattern for the user. The computing device may analyze one or more conversations and identify a conversation relevant to the user based on the identified user contribution pattern. The computing device may generate, in response to identifying a relevant conversation, a notification to the user of the relevant conversation.
