  • Patent number: 7665563
Abstract: To restrain an increase in the numbers of components and process steps and achieve an easy mounting and dismounting of a pivot shaft. An arm supporting member includes a pair of left and right plate members, a middle cross pipe extending between the plate members and a center pivot plate mounted to the middle cross pipe. A pivot shaft is supported by the plate member and the center pivot plate, and a drive shaft is arranged between the plate member and the center pivot plate. The middle cross pipe is arranged above the pivot shaft on a front portion of a vehicle. The center pivot plate is provided with an upright wall as a receiving portion for aiding the positioning of the bearing member by receiving the bearing member, more specifically, the collar when assembling the swing arm to the center pivot plate and the plate member.

  • Patent number: 7617901
Abstract: A fuel pump mounting arrangement for a motorcycle is provided in which the fuel pump is mounted to the vehicle body frame and in which the fuel pump is protected from impact without increasing the weight of a pivot plate. In the motorcycle, a main frame extends rearwardly from a head pipe, rear frames extend rearwardly from the main frame, and a central frame structure extends downwardly from the rear frames to form a space within the central frame structure. A pivot plate is mounted on a lower portion of the central frame structure, and a rear swing arm is supported on the pivot plate. In such a constitution, a fuel pump is arranged in the space which is formed by the central frame structure.

  • Patent number: 5715904
Abstract: A shroud is disposed outside a radiator. Ribs are provided which project from the inner surface of the shroud and abut the outer surface of the radiator so that portions other than the ribs are used as baffle passages for introducing running an air flow into air flow ports. Guide ribs for introducing an air flow in the air flow ports are provided which project from an inner surface of the shroud in front of the radiator, thereby enhancing the rectifying effect.

  • Patent number: 5701853
Abstract: To provide a motorcycle including a cooler disposed in such a manner so as to arcuately cover the front surface and the right and left side surfaces of a head pipe, wherein conduits connected to the cooler are disposed so as to prevent the need to reduce the capacity of a fuel tank and to prevent a thermal effect caused by the heated coolant. A cooler is provided on a head pipe positioned in front of a fuel tank. A first conduit for supplying coolant from the right side surface of an engine is connected to the upper surface of the right end of the cooler. A second conduit connected to the upper surface of the left end of the cooler passes along the upper surface of the cooler so as not to interfere with the fuel tank, and is connected to the right side surface of a tank. Wires and wiring cords extending from the steering handle extend along the left side surface of the head pipe to avoid the thermal effect of coolant at a high temperature.
