  • Patent number: 5715811
Abstract: An inhaling piece 1 is formed with an inhaling mouth 3 and a holder accommodating section 2. A capsule holder 6 is formed with a capsule accommodating hole 7 and air flow passages 8, 8 which extend axially, and is further formed with pin insertion holes 10, 11 which extend diametrically and are in communication with these air flow passages 8. When a capsule 17 is accommodated in the capsule accommodating hole 7 and the pins 16 are inserted into the pin insertion holes 10, 11, through-holes H, H, . . . are formed in the capsule 17. When the patient intends to inhale medicine, inhaling is made by first returning the pins 16 to the inhaling piece 1 so that the medicine can be securely and effectively carried to the lungs of the patient under the action of air flow.

  • Patent number: 5619985
Abstract: An inhaler type medicine administering device for administering fine granular medicine to the lungs of a patent. The medicine admimistering device comprises a generally cylindrical inhaling piece including a cylindrical holder accommodating section. First and second outside pin insertion holes are formed through the cylindrical wall of the holder accommodating section. A capsule holder is provided to be accommodable within the holder accommodating section of the inhaling piece. The capsule holder is formed with a capsule accommodating hole opened to its end section in which hole a capsule containing medicine is accommodable. First and second inside pin insertion holes are formed extending in the diametrical direction of the capsule holder so as to pass through the capsule accommodating hole. The first inside pin insertion hole is capable of being brought into alignment with the first outside pin insertion hole to form a first pin insertion hole.

  • Patent number: 5259241
Abstract: A display unit for displaying the output of a vehicle engine measures and displays the output or torque of the engine during a normal running state. The unit calculates and displays the output of the engine according to an intake air quantity and engine rotational speed. The unit calculates an output for a predetermined steady run corresponding to a present vehicle speed. If the engine output calculated according to the intake air quantity and rotational speed is smaller than the steady-run output, the unit displays zeros.

  • Patent number: 5226323
Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for measuring and displaying the output of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle while the vehicle is moving. An intake air flow quantity Q and a rotation speed N of the engine are calculated to determine an intake air quantity per revolution (Q/N), and provide a base output. At the same time, the method and apparatus detect a fuel flow quantity supplied to the engine, and depending on the fuel flow quantity and intake air flow quantity, calculate an air-fuel ratio by which the base output is corrected to provide an engine output to be displayed.
