  • Publication number: 20240151198
Abstract: The present invention provides a fuel pump capable of preventing the occurrence of cavitation near a seat member in a valve mechanism. The fuel pump includes a plunger adapted to reciprocate, a pressurizing chamber adapted to increase and decrease its volumetric capacity through the reciprocation of the plunger, and a relief valve mechanism adapted to return a fuel to the pressurizing chamber. The relief valve mechanism includes a relief valve, and a seat member having a valve contact portion for seating the relief valve thereon. The relief valve is disposed closer to the plunger than the seat member. The seat member has an annular groove portion which forms a space communicating with the pressurizing chamber, between the annular groove portion and a second chamber (a fixing portion) surrounding the outer peripheral surface of the seat member. The space is provided at a position farther from the plunger than the valve contact portion.

  • Publication number: 20120133375
Abstract: To reduce erroneous inspection caused by particular noise occurring when plate-shaped electrodes are used, the invention is related to a liquid-discharging device in which a discharge judgment for judging whether or not a liquid has been discharged from a nozzle is performed on the basis of a change in electric potential occurring in at least one of a first electrode and a second electrode when the liquid has been discharged from the nozzle. The discharge judgment is performed continuously a plurality of times for the nozzle that is an inspection target. Even if the liquid is judged to have been discharged in any of the plurality of discharge judgments, the liquid will be determined not to have been discharged from the nozzle that is an inspection target as long as a judgment that the liquid has not been discharged has been made in any of the plurality of discharge judgments.

  • Patent number: 7031007
Abstract: In Internet FAX communications, a CPU acquires a recipient mail address designated by a user or an originator mail address indicated in received mail. The CPU then stores the acquired mail address in a recipient-address storage area or an originator-address storage area that is included in an information storage section. If any one of mail addresses stored in the recipient- or originator address storage area is selectively designated when a recipient of the Internet FAX communications is designated, the CPU sets the selectively-designated mail address as a recipient address.
