  • Publication number: 20110149840
Abstract: A transmitter (10) is provided with an MAC-PDU generating section (12), which multiplexes an information element and generates an MAC-PDU; and a first data unit transmitting section (13), which transmits the generated MAC-PDU, in an MAC layer. The information element is of an MAC-SDU received from an RLC layer, an MAC control block or padding. The MAC-PDU generating section (12) adds to an MAC-PDU an MAC header including a C/T for identifying the type of the information element to be multiplexed into the MAC-PDU and an LI for indicating the size of the information element.

  • Patent number: 7965640
Abstract: A controlling method and a radio base station apparatus capable of variably determining a Transmission Time Interval (TTI) length in accordance with a communication environment of a mobile terminal is disclosed. The radio base station apparatus includes a receiving section receiving information via an uplink channel; and a scheduler variably determining a Transmission Time Interval (TTI) length for any one of an uplink shared channel and a downlink shared channel or both based on at least any of a moving speed of a mobile terminal, location of the mobile terminal in a cell, a provided throughput value, and a number of retransmissions obtained from the received information. Preferably, the scheduler includes a TTI length allocation table describing relationships between parameter values and the corresponding TTI length, the parameters being used for estimating the location and/or the moving speed of the mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 7779145
Abstract: To reduce the total amount of reply messages in broadcasting and to make effective use of the bandwidth of a communication route without assuming an error rate in advance. Data is broadcasted to a plurality of receivers (step 11), then a maximum message length of reply messages from the receivers is calculated (step 13), and a backoff time of the reply messages is calculated (step 14). The maximum message length and the backoff time is sent to the receivers (step 15), then the reply messages having lengths of up to the specified maximum message length are generated by the receivers (step 17), and the reply messages are sent from the receivers at any time within the specified backoff time (step 19).

  • Publication number: 20100192391
Abstract: According to a chain saw braking system, engagement between a front end portion of a belt and a main body by an engagement member is released at the time of application of an impact. When a front end portion is pulled by the spring force of a compression coil spring, an elongate hole for protrusion is engaged with a protrusion to restrict a rear end portion from being moved in the same direction as the front end portion. Thus, it is possible to strongly tighten a drum by the belt to thereby reliably stop the movement of a chain. With this arrangement, the chain can be prevented from being damaged when a chain saw is accidentally dropped onto the ground due to an impact applied thereto.
