  • Publication number: 20210269046
Abstract: An estimator generation apparatus may include a first estimator and a second estimator sharing a common encoder. The first estimator may be trained to determine a target person's state from face image data. The second estimator may be trained to reconstruct physiological data from face image data. The machine learning may allow the common encoder to have its parameters converging toward higher-accuracy local solutions for estimating the target person's state, thus generating the estimator that may estimate the target person's state more accurately.

  • Patent number: 11071461
Abstract: An acoustic wave detector detects photoacoustic waves generated by absorbing measurement light emitted toward a subject, and reflected acoustic waves with respect to acoustic waves transmitted toward the subject. A preamplifier amplifies a detection signal output by the acoustic wave detector. A bypass unit is intended to output the detection signal without passing through the preamplifier. Controller causes the preamplifier to enter an operating state and selects a first path along which the detection signal is amplified by the preamplifier and then is input to the reception circuit as a signal path in a case where the photoacoustic waves are detected. The controller stops an amplification operation in the preamplifier and selects a second path along which the detection signal is input to the reception circuit via a bypass unit as the signal path in a case where reflected acoustic waves are detected.

  • Publication number: 20210141983
Abstract: [Object] To appropriately make apparent the feature part of the object shape. [Solving Means] This technology moves each face in a normal direction of each face from data representing an object shape of a CAD model by discretizing a surface of the CAD model into a grid and arranging faces surrounded by discrete points, to thereby generate an expansion model or a contraction model of the object shape of the CAD model, considers that the surface of the expansion model or the contraction model is uniformly charged and solves a Laplace's equation for an electrostatic field on the surface according to a boundary element method to thereby determine a potential distribution on the surface of the expansion model or the contraction model, and detects a feature part of the object shape on the basis of the determined potential distribution.

  • Patent number: 10305249
Abstract: In a laser apparatus, transmission of vibration, which is generated in a portion that generates a cooling gas flow, to a laser unit is suppressed, and heat generated from the laser unit is efficiently dissipated. A laser unit is housed inside a box-shaped housing having a plurality of faces. A frame supports a laser unit with a first mount interposed therebetween inside the housing. The frame has a through-hole penetrating from one face side to the other face side. A blower fan generates a flow of cooling gas for cooling the laser unit. The blower fan is attached to, for example, a second housing so as to face the laser unit. The cooling gas moves through the through-hole of the frame between the blower fan and the laser unit.

  • Patent number: 10267352
Abstract: A bearing cap (1) is attached to a bulkhead (22) of a cylinder block (21) made of a light metal through a pair of bolts (24). The bearing cap (1) has a frame (2) made of an iron-based metal and a cast light-alloy part (3). The frame (2) has a pair of pillar parts (9) through which the bolts (24) extend and a circular-arc-shaped arch section (10). At high temperatures, the span of the pair of the bolts (24) increases due to thermal expansion of the light-alloy material, and the pair of the pillar parts (9) expand. This causes the middle part of the arch section (10) to shift upward, thereby suppressing an increase in bearing clearance.
