  • Publication number: 20080000421
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for applying a coating solution with a bar, comprising the steps of: contacting a rotating coating bar with a lower surface of a continuously running web; discharging a coating solution toward the lower surface of the web from a coating solution discharging section positioned upstream of the coating bar in a web running direction to form a coating solution reservoir upstream of the coating bar; and applying the coating solution to the web via the coating solution reservoir, wherein the method for applying a coating solution with a bar includes a step of regulating a pressure of the coating solution reservoir depending on a running speed of the web.

  • Publication number: 20050109272
Abstract: A peripheral surface of a coating rod has an area where grooves (convex portions) are formed. This area is ground by a grinding apparatus by which a maximum height Ry of the rod surface is adjusted to 15 ?m or less. Further, a ratio of D/W is adjusted to 0.01 or more, wherein D is a total distance of the convex portions of the rod actually abutting on a web in an axial direction of the rod, and W is a coating width of the web. Furthermore, straightness of the rod is adjusted to 30 ?m or less per 1 m, and roundness of the rod is adjusted to 10 ?m or less. Micro-projections are removed by grinding so that scratches of a coating surface are prevented from occurring. Coating unevenness is prevented by improving the straightness and the roundness.

  • Publication number: 20050040318
Abstract: A solid-state imaging device includes a pixel array area having pixels including photoelectric transducers arranged as an array; signal lines wired for every pixel column in the pixel array area; and a plurality of noise reducers provided for the corresponding signal lines. Each of the noise reducers includes a first capacitor, one end of which is connected to the signal line; a first switch element, an input port of which is connected to the other end of the first capacitor; a second capacitor connected between an output port of the first switch element and a reference voltage; and a clamping element for clamping the voltage of a connecting node between the output port of the first switch element and the second capacitor to a predetermined voltage. The first capacitor is shared among the plurality of noise reducers.

  • Publication number: 20040144304
Abstract: A rod for a coating machine according to the present invention includes a cylindrical base material, an intermediate layer formed on the surface of the base material and subjected to a lapping process and an abrasion-resistant film formed on the surface of the intermediate layer and subjected to a lapping process. The intermediate layer is a diffusion layer formed by reforming the surface of the base material by a diffusion process. Specifically, since the intermediate layer forms a part of the base material, the intermediate layer is firmly fixed to the base material and is not likely to separate from the base material. According to the present invention, a rod for a coating machine with high durability and a method for producing it are provided, which rod prevent flaws from developing on the surface of a base material object on which a coating solution is applied.
