  • Patent number: 10040376
Abstract: A seat frame for a vehicle seat includes a seat cushion frame that forms a frame for a seating portion of the vehicle seat, and a height adjustment mechanism that is coupled to the seat cushion frame and a rail mechanism of the vehicle seat. The height adjustment mechanism adjusts the height of the seat cushion frame. The height adjustment mechanism includes a sector gear that rotates based on a height adjustment operation, a link that moves the height of the seat cushion frame up and down based on the rotation of the sector gear, and a restriction member that abuts against the sector gear, thereby restricting the movement of the sector gear. At least one of portions of the sector gear and the restriction member that abut against each other has a tapered shape.

  • Patent number: 9645283
Abstract: According to an embodiment, weather prediction apparatus divides prediction target area into grids and performs weather prediction for each grid. The apparatus includes receiver, calculator and corrector. Receiver receives observation value in each grid at a first time interval. Calculator sets first observation value received by receiver as initial value and calculates prediction value in each grid using advection model at a second time interval shorter than first time interval. When receiver receives second observation value after first observation value, corrector corrects advection model based on difference between second observation value and prediction value corresponding to observation time of second observation value.

  • Patent number: 7250942
Abstract: A display apparatus of the invention which detects an obstacle put on a display unit, and modifies a place or manner of a display to be performed, comprising the display unit having a display surface; a detecting unit for detecting a display-obstructed area on the display surface where a display-obstructing factor is present; a shifting unit for shifting the area of displayed contents to a displayable area other than the display-obstructed area, when the display-obstructed area is detected; and a display control unit for displaying the displayed contents shifted by the shifting unit in the area other than the display-obstructed area.

  • Patent number: 6701328
Abstract: This embodiment of the invention has a container 26c within which multiple groups of data, each optionally including one or more attributes (or attribution items), are stored without destroying their relational structure. A group of data consisting of a single XML data unit is referred to here as a data block. Index data for search 26i is the auxiliary data for indexing purposes. On receiving a search command, the CPU 23 obtains the index data from the index 26i and selects the matching groups of data from the container 26c. By storing the index data and structure for each attribute, and searching the container 26c with reference to the index and structure data stored, XML data can be stored without destroying the format and still be searched at high speed.

  • Patent number: 5174170
Abstract: The configuration, structure and materials of the components of a control device as well as a control device assembly are disclosed. The control device includes an elongated strip portion which is bent into a J-shaped configuration so that an opening in the J forms a receiving slot for receiving and securely holding a tubular member which encloses a portion of a cable. The receiving slot is slightly smaller in width than the diameter of the tubular member and the slot is bendably expandable while the tubular member is compressible. When the tubular member is in the slot the biasing forces (inward from the control member and outward from the tube) hold the tube in place and allow the tube and cable to be easily and conveniently placed in the control device. The tubular member may include a flange at one end which faces toward the main part of the cable. The other end of the tubular member abuts an expanded abutment on a cable which forms the cable end.
