The method includes capturing an image of the user; performing face recognition on the captured image to identify a user profile; obtaining information on dosage value delivered to the user in a defined amount of dosage time period; comparing the dosage value with a threshold value; and performing an action on the UV source based on the comparison. The action includes: activating the UV source if the dosage value is below the threshold value; and deactivating the UV source, if the dosage value is above the threshold value.
