  • Publication number: 20180325189
Abstract: An athletic garment suitable for use as cheerleading training pants or shorts has a plurality of silicone slip resistant protrusions arranged at a left and right hip section. The silicone protrusions prevent slipping between the garment and a catching athlete's hands. Additional silicone protrusions may be arranged at a left and right ankle section of the garment.

  • Patent number: 7195187
Abstract: A rolling mill system has oppositely driven, temperature-controlled first and second rolls, each having a first roll half with a first end face, a second roll half with a second end face, and a roll center. The first roll has a peripheral surface with open grooves arranged on the first and second roll halves and with ribs between the grooves. The grooves of the roll halves are arranged opposed to one another at an obtuse angle and symmetrically to the roll center. The width of the ribs is smaller than the width of the grooves. The grooves extend continuously between the end faces. The second roll has a smooth peripheral surface. First and second cutting devices are arranged at the first and second end faces of the first roll, respectively. The cutting devices are arranged near open ends of the grooves.

  • Patent number: 5726107
Abstract: A non-wovens fabric of electret fibers having an improved charge stability and comprising materials which chiefly comprise a fiber-forming addition or condensation polymer and 0.01 to 30% by weight (preferably 0.01 to 10, in particular 0.1 to 5, % by weight), based on the weight of the material, of organic or organometallic charge control agents, wherein the non-woven fabric comprises at least two types of electret fiber which are made of different materials which differ from one another in that they comprise different fiber-forming addition or condensation polymers and if appropriate also different charge control agents is described.

  • Patent number: 4773762
Abstract: A continuous shearing rolling mill is disclosed with improved roll drive system, roll temperature control, surface and groove geometries of the shearing rolls, and material discharge and pelletizing devices on the front roll.

  • Patent number: 4605309
Abstract: A roller-mill for mixing and plasticizing materials, comprises two tempered, rotatable rollers which are operable at different circumferential speeds. The rolls are long and are provided with angular grooves which are inclinedly disposed relative to the axis of rotation of the rolls. The grooves on the two rolls extend in opposite directions to one another. The grooves producing biaxial shearing in the nip between the rolls because material is reliably fed into the nip. The grooves also produce a simultaneous, axial conveying of the material. Along the roll nip, various materials which are to be mixed can feed-in simultaneously or successively and, depending upon the intended purpose of the end product, the materials are removed from the device for further processing in either a partially plasticized state or in a fully homogenized state, as desired.

  • Patent number: 4056516
Abstract: The invention relates to modacryl filaments and fibers made from copolymers insoluble in acetone of acrylonitrile and from 20 to 45 weight % of vinylidene chloride, containing from 0 to 1.5 weight % of unsaturated organic sulfonic acids or the salts thereof, and from 0 to 10 weight % of further copolymerizable compounds, which copolymers have a K value according to Fikentscher of from about 60 to about 90, and a process for the manufacture thereof. These modacryl filaments and fibers are especially distinguished by their permanent brilliance and permanent transparence; these properties are maintained even on contact with water having a temperature above 80.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 3970610
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vessel and a process for polymerizing vinyl chloride in suspension. The vessel the inner surfaces of which consist of stainless steel or are plated with a noble metal comprises at least one cathode in contact with the reaction medium and insoluble therein and as anode the metallic inner surface of the vessel, the cathode and anode being connected over an external source of current. The polymerization is carried out with electrolytic generation of hydrogen and oxygen from the polymerization medium. The polymerization vessel and process according to the invention suppress completely or substantially the formation of wall deposits.
