  • Patent number: 8226297
Abstract: An outer race for a rocker bearing includes an internal sliding layer and an external support layer, wherein the sliding layer and the bearing layer are formed from a wound composite fiber material. The outer race is identified by exactly one parting line. A rocker bearing with such an outer race and a method for its production is also provided, in which a sliding layer and a support layer of synthetic resin impregnated fibers are wound in succession onto a winding mandrel, and outer races are formed after setting on the winding body thus produced. The sliding layer and the support layer are wound onto a cylindrical winding mandrel, and the outer race is provided with exactly one parting line opening it, and sliding layer material on its inside is removed to such an extent that a partially spherical contour is obtained for receiving a complementary inner race.

  • Patent number: 7470065
Abstract: A method for producing a wrapped bushing, includes cutting a metal blank to size: introducing holes into the blank, each hole being provided with at least one inwardly projecting protrusion: inserting plugs of plastics material exhibiting sliding characteristics into the holes; and shaping the blank to form the bushing. The resultant bushing has a substrate of at least one metal in which the holes are provided and filled with the plastics material. Each hole comprises at least one inwardly projecting protrusion.

  • Publication number: 20070181636
Abstract: Disclosed is a guide element comprising a base body having at least two guide surfaces disposed on various non-parallel planes. In order to provide the guide surfaces disposed on various non-parallel planes with a sliding lining, the guide surfaces are provided with at least one pre-fabricated strip of material consisting of a carrier material and a sliding material placed thereon. The strips of said strip material are fixed to the base body by laser welding. According to the method for the production of one such guide element, strips of the strip material consisting of a carrier material and a sliding material placed thereon are pre-fabricated and the strip or strips is/are placed on a guide surface by means of laser welding.
