Abstract: A method and system for generation of widgets based on mobile applications are provided. The method includes receiving from a user device a request to analyze at least one application on the user device; analyzing the at least one application to identify at a plurality of functions in the at least one application; analyzing each of the identified plurality of functions to identify contextual content items; generating at least one widget respective of at least one preferred function and preferred contextual content item of the identified functions and contextual content items; and displaying the widget on a display of the user device.

Abstract: A method and system for enabling cross-device access based on a user intent are provided. The method includes receiving a request to allow a second user device to access a first user device; determining an intent of a user of the first user device respective of the received request; determining, based on the user intent, at least one content resource in the first user device that can be accessed by the second user device; initializing an agent on the first user device; and causing the agent to enable the second user device to perform at least one action on the at least one content resource.

The method includes receiving, from a user device, a request to generate at least one entity-based widget on a display of the user device, wherein the request comprises a selection of an entity; finding a contextual content related to the entity through at least one web source operated by at least one publisher server; determining a type of the entity based on the contextual content; generating the at least one entity-based widget based on the contextual content and the type; receiving at least one content item from the at least one publisher server; adapting a display segment within the at least one widget based on the at least one received content item; and displaying the adapted display segment on the user device.

The method includes receiving at least one environmental variable; analyzing the at least one environmental variable to determine the user intent, wherein the user intent represents a current topic of interest of a user of the user device; matching the determined user intent against an applications index to find at least a category of interest that best matches the determined user intent; and selecting an application associated with the matching category of interest; and causing a launch of the selected application on the user device.
