  • Patent number: 11134449
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for controlling transmission power in a network having multiple access points (APs). In one aspect, by enabling control of transmission power adjustment operations, APs can effectively delivery data to stations (STAs) within the basis service set (BSS) in a manner that minimizes co-channel interference between nearby APs in the network. The transmission power adjustment operations may be used to generate an interference reduction plan that accounts for some or all of the traffic patterns in the network, the capacities of the APs in the network and the service needs of all the STAs in the network. In this manner, APs are afforded a more lenient approach to adequately delivering data to STAs within the BSS, while mitigating interference with other APs or STAs operating in nearby wireless coverage areas.

  • Publication number: 20180054761
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems disclosed provide for conditional quality of service classification. For example, in some aspects, messages received over a first network interface may be analyzed to reclassify the appropriate quality of service for the messages. Messages received over a second network interface may rely on quality of service information included in the messages themselves, such as quality service information stored in a QOS control field of a media access control header. The quality of service information may also be propagated through one or more protocol layers by including the quality of service information in a memory structured shared, in some aspects, between kernel mode drivers, and user mode network applications. This may provide for the quality of service information to be propagated across multiple nodes in a multi-hop communication path, without experiencing computational overhead associated with multiple reclassifications.

  • Patent number: 8205255
Abstract: A system to prevent content spoofing by detecting phishing attacks is provided. The system checks each webpage visited by a user and determines if the page is legitimate. To determine if a page is legitimate, the system employs fingerprints to check how similar the browsed page is with respect to an original page. If the similarity between browsed page and the original page is found to be more than a preset threshold, then the browsed page is considered to be a spoofed page. Access to the spoofed page is then either denied and/or an alarm is triggered.
