  • Patent number: 11323419
Abstract: A method and a system for selecting an anonymized subset of parameters from datasets of network-connected devices are provided herein. The method may include: obtaining a plurality of datasets, comprising a set of parameters related to one of a plurality of network-connected devices; automatically selecting a subset of parameters from at least one of the datasets, wherein the selecting is based on specified selection criteria; calculating an autocorrelation of the selected subset of parameters; calculating a correlation of the selected subset of parameters and one or more subsets of parameters selected from the datasets relating to network-connected devices other than said one of the plurality of network-connected devices; and applying the correlation and the autocorrelation to a decision function to determine whether the selected subset of parameters is an anonymized subset that is insufficient for determining an identity of the one of the plurality of the network-connected devices.

  • Publication number: 20200329015
Abstract: Some embodiments of the present invention provide a system and a method for anonymizing unique identifiers of objects on a networked database and for exchange of anonymized data across a network. A personalized database holding unique identifiers of users and/or entities may use a module to anonymize the unique identifiers of the users or entities and convert it to anonymized identifiers using an asymmetric conversion. In consequence, no unique identifier of any user or entity get out of the personalized database. A third-party application can request the matched anonymized token for a given user identifier. The anonymized token is generated using a symmetric conversion and is unique per third party application. Then, the third-party application can retrieve data related to the unique identifier using the anonymized token. The data is only retrieved using the anonymized token only.

  • Patent number: 8290635
Abstract: An apparatus, system and methods system for reducing power consumption in a network including electrical appliances connected via electrical outlets to an electricity supplier and/or a system managing power consumption. The system comprises a management system and apparatuses, each comprising a measurement unit, a processing unit, an optional communications unit and a control unit, such that each apparatus is connected to an electrical outlet and is associated with an appliance or a group of appliances. Control units inject electrical signals via the associated electrical outlet to the electrical appliance. The measurement unit measures electrical parameters at the outlet, and the processing unit analyzes the electrical parameters measured in view of the electrical signal and detects the electrical signature of the associated electrical appliance therefrom. The electrical signature is utilized to characterize various characteristics of the electrical appliances and manage power consumption of the network.
