Abstract: A golf ball retrieving assembly to retrieve golf balls distributed over a ground surface comprises a collector wheel having a recess to accept and retain golf balls therein and at least one ball deflecting assembly moveable over the ground surface to deflect golf balls to the collector wheel. The collector wheel and the golf ball deflecting assembly are coupled to a support in such a fashion that each can track undulations in the ground surface independently of each other. A number of such golf ball retrieving assemblies can be axially positioned on a common frame member to allow large areas to be treated. By having the collector wheel and golf ball deflecting assembly able to track undulations independently of each other, golf balls can be collected from pockets and depressions in a fairway in an effective manner.
