    Abstract: A method of stamping sequins from a sheet of material and substantially simultaneously attaching the stamped sequins to backing material. Apparatus for carrying out the method includes a punch and die assembly for stamping the sequins and needle and cooperating looper means for receiving and attaching the stamped sequin to backing material by an interlocking chain stitch.
