  • Patent number: 7265536
Abstract: A wafer probe station is provided with a wafer chuck, a wafer fastened on the chuck by vacuum suction, and a probe needle arrangement above the wafer to test the wafer at high frequencies by contacting selected pads on the wafer and alternately pads on a calibration substrate also fastened on the wafer chuck. A procedure for reproduction of a calibration position of an aligned and afterwards displaced calibration substrate uses first and second measurement systems to calculate a new offset position of the calibration substrate after a second wafer is loaded on the wafer chuck. In a last step, the wafer chuck is driven by a 4axis manipulator stage to the new calibration position from the recent position.

  • Publication number: 20070165877
Abstract: There is provided an interface adapter for receiving a microphone, wherein the interface adapter has a receiving unit with a through hole for receiving a microphone and an arresting unit for arresting a received microphone. That permits the microphone to be easily fixed on a boundary surface or interface, such as for example on a table top, a glass plate, tiles, wooden floors, concrete floors and the like. In other words the use of the interface adapter defines an interface which plays an important part in audio recording.

  • Patent number: 7046025
Abstract: A test apparatuss for testing substrates at low temperatures has a chuck, which can be displaced in the working area by means of a chuck drive, the temperature of which can be controlled using heating and cooling means. The chuck has a receiving surface for receiving a test substrate and holding means for fixing a substrate carrier which receives the test substrate. Spatially and thermally defined test conditions are maintained with minimal energy and labor costs both at room temperatures and at low temperatures. This is achieved by providing a vacuum chamber which surrounds the working area of the chuck. The chuck is on one side thermally decoupled from the uncooled chuck drive and on the other side is thermally connected in a releasable manner to the test substrate. The cooled chuck and the cooled test substrate are shielded from the thermal radiation of the surrounding uncooled assemblies by means of a directly cooled thermal radiation shield.

  • Publication number: 20050231383
Abstract: An improved energy efficient intelligent pulser driver used for generating a mud pulse in a MWD (measurement while drilling) application. In the pulser driver, a direct current (DC) powered control circuit activates a three-phase DC brushless motor that operates a servo-valve. Opening of the servo-valve equalizes pressure in a plenum causing the operation of a main valve reducing flow area and causing a pressure spike in the mud column. Closing of the servo-valve creates a reduction in mud pressure that operates the main valve and increases the flow area causing an end to the pressure spike. The servo-valve is powered both in opening and closing operations by the motor.

  • Publication number: 20050197087
Abstract: The invention relates to a preamplifier circuit with at least one transistor that couples a signal input to a signal output. The signal input is supplied with a radio-frequency signal. In addition, the preamplifier circuit includes a switch that switchably couples the input to a reference potential and which, when the preamplifier is inactive, is closed. Hence, when the preamplifier is inactive, the input is put into a low-impedance state and the amplifier and downstream assemblies are protected from unwanted high-power interference signals. It is thus also possible to use other, fully integratable filter types in a transceiver's reception signal processing chain instead of external surface acoustic wave filters with a low level of complexity and without drawbacks.

  • Publication number: 20050197088
Abstract: The invention specifies a circuit arrangement with a radio-frequency mixer (4) in which a plurality of preamplifiers (1, 2, 3) in a receiver have a common output node (6). This node is connected to a common, broadband radio-frequency mixer (4) via common coupling capacitances (41, 42). Switching means (17, 18; 27, 28; 37, 38) can be used to connect and disconnect the preamplifiers (1 to 3), which can be associated with various frequency bands, independently of one another. The present principle can be applied in multiband receivers in mobile radio and allows integration using little chip area with good radio-frequency characteristics.

  • Patent number: 6916616
Abstract: The invention concerns stable aqueous solutions containing one or several nucleoside triphosphates wherein the respective solution has a pH value of more than 7.5 and contains no additional substances with a stabilizing effect. The nucleoside triphosphate solutions are used in particular for DNA synthesizing reactions such as e.g. RT-PCR, cycle sequencing, random priming and nick translation. One of the most important applications of such solutions containing deoxy-nucleoside triphosphates (d-NTP) is their use in the polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

  • Patent number: 6305654
Abstract: A clamping holder comprises an arrangement of a first leg and a second leg which are constructed in such a way that they can be moved towards one another. An adjusting device acts on at least one of the legs. Activation of the adjusting device enables a movement of the legs towards one another so that the objects to be clamped can be locked in position. A device is also provided that cancels the locking effect and that holds the adjusting device at the clamping holder.

  • Patent number: 6100897
Abstract: A method and device for the pictorial representation of space-related data, for example, geographical data of the earth. Such methods are used for visualising topographical or meteorological data in the form of weather maps or weather forecast films. Further fields of application are found in tourism, in traffic control, in navigation aids and also in studio technology. The space-related data, for example topography, actual cloud distribution, configurations of roads, rivers or frontiers, satellite images, actual temperatures, historical views, CAD-models, actual camera shots, are called up, stored or generated in a spatially distributed fashion. For a screen representation of a view of the object according to a field of view of a virtual observer, the required data are called up and shown only in the resolution required for each individual section of the image.
