  • Patent number: 5523037
Abstract: A hollow ceramic rolling element manufacturing method is used to produce hollow rolling elements out of a ceramic material. A support member, which consists of an inflammable volatile material, of a core is inserted into an insert bore in a lower mold member, and a core member of the core is set in a central portion of a cavity formed by a gypsum mold. A slurry a main component of which consists of powder of a ceramic material is introduced from a slurry injection port into a cavity in the gypsum mold closed by engaging joint surfaces of lower and upper mold members with each other. After the slurry in the gypsum mold has been solidified, a layer of the solidified slurry is removed from the gypsum mold, and the molded body removed from the mold is burnt to incinerate the core, whereby a hollow rolling element is produced.

  • Patent number: 5439297
Abstract: This invention provides a structure of a nonmagnetic raceway assembly in which the raceway assembly itself is formed of a nonmagnetic material to improve the sliding performance and strength of the raceway surfaces. The nonmagnetic raceway assembly structure includes a pair of raceway bodies which have raceway forming surfaces made of a nonmagnetic metal material and which move relative to each other; and raceway layers adhering to the raceway forming surfaces to form raceway surfaces. The raceway layers are made of a nonmagnetic composite material and formed as a porous structure that can retain lubricating oil or lubricant. The raceway surfaces are disposed facing each other to form a raceway through which the rolling elements travel rolling.

  • Patent number: 5344237
Abstract: A linear motion rolling contact guide unit includes a rail extending over a desired length, a slider slidably mounted on the rail and a plurality of rolling members interposed between the rail and the slider. The rail has a pair of first and second opposite side surfaces. A pair of oppositely inclined guide channels for rollers is provided between the first side surface of the rail and a corresponding opposite surface of the slider and another guide channel for balls is provided between the second side surface of the rail and a corresponding opposite surface of the slider.
