Publication number: 20240152268Abstract: An electronic device, while displaying messaging user interface that includes a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user, a plurality of electronic stickers, and a message-input area, detects a drag gesture that starts while a focus selector is at a first location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to an electronic sticker in the plurality of electronic stickers, and in response, moves the electronic sticker in the first direction in accordance with movement of the drag gesture. Upon termination of the drag gesture while the focus selector is at a second location in the messaging user interface, if the second location is within the conversation transcript, the electronic device places the electronic sticker in the conversation transcript at a location based on the second location, and otherwise ceases to display the electronic sticker.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 16, 2024Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Imran A. Patent number: 11556876Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for detecting business anomalies. Enterprise data as well as compliance rules (e.g., business operational rules) are analyzed to identify entities and concepts to be placed in an ontology. The identified entities and concepts are represented as multi-dimensional vectors. The updates, movements and access to the enterprise data and compliance rules are tracked to determine parameters, such as information velocity, associated with at least some of the elements of the multi-dimensional vectors. The meaning from the enterprise data as well as from the data parameters is discerned. The discerned enterprise data and discerned data parameters are compared with the historical and/or projected utilization of the discerned enterprise data and discerned data parameters to identify any differences. Statistical analysis is then applied based on the enterprise data and the identified differences to generate a value corresponding to a prediction of a business anomaly.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2015Date of Patent: January 17, 2023Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Steven B. Patent number: 11513677Abstract: An electronic device displays a messaging interface. The messaging user interface includes a search affordance and a conversation between a user of the device and another user. While displaying the messaging interface, the device detects activation of the search affordance. In response, the device ceases displaying the messaging interface and displays a search interface. The search user interface includes a search field and categorized content items. The categorized content items include a content item stored on the device and a content item from the Internet. While displaying the search interface, the device detects selection of a first item in the categorized content items; and, afterwards, displays the first item in the conversation. The device transmits the first item to the device that corresponds to the other user in the messaging session. The other user's device displays the item in a conversation that corresponds to the messaging session.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 2016Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: APPLE INC.Inventors: Imran A. Patent number: 11451508Abstract: Messaging between a companion device and an accessory device is controlled such that different modes of communication may be utilized. The different modes can implement different messaging strategies, each of which is intended for efficient power management, in view of the limited electrical power that is typically available at the accessory device. A received request message for sending from the companion device to the accessory device is sent if predetermined conditions apply, and similarly for messages from the accessory device to the companion device.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2020Date of Patent: September 20, 2022Assignee: APPLE INC.Inventors: Alexander Ledwith, Christopher C. Publication number: 20220179553Abstract: An electronic device, in response to receiving a first message from an electronic device that corresponds to another user, displays the first message in a first message region in a conversation transcript. In response to a first input by a contact at a location of the first message in the conversation transcript, the device displays plurality of acknowledgement options in an acknowledgement selection affordance at a location that corresponds to the first message region. In response to a second input by a second contact at a location of a first acknowledgement option in the acknowledgement selection affordance, the device applies the first acknowledgement option to the first message and transmits information that causes the electronic device that correspond to the other user to apply the first acknowledgement option to a corresponding first message in a conversation transcript that corresponds to the messaging session.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2022Publication date: June 9, 2022Inventors: Imran A. Publication number: 20210352470Abstract: The subject disclosure provides systems and methods for sender verification for encrypted electronic messaging. The discloses systems and methods may facilitate reducing or preventing spam messages between electronic devices. An electronic device may determine, prior to sending an electronic message to another device with a first level of encryption that is higher than a second level of encryption, whether the electronic device is eligible to send the message with the first level of encryption. If an electronic device determines that it is ineligible to send the message with the first level of encryption to another electronic device, a first message from the electronic device to the other electronic device may be sent with the second level of encryption as part of an unencrypted or low encryption handshake between the devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2021Publication date: November 11, 2021Inventors: Elliot A.
