Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting network events are provided. A process, according to one implementation, includes the step of receiving a time-series dataset having a sequence of datapoints each including a set of Performance Monitoring (PM) parameters of a network. The process also includes the step of applying a subset of the sequence of datapoints to a Machine Learning (ML) model having a classification function and an encoding/decoding function. In addition, the process includes the step of allowing the ML model to leverage temporal-based correlations among the datapoints of the subset to predict an event associated with the network.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for predicting an impending change to Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) metrics associated with Network Elements (NEs) in an optical network. A method, according to one implementation, includes receiving Performance Monitoring (PM) data related to an optical network having a plurality of links. The method also includes analyzing the PM data to predict the likelihood of an impending change to an IGP metric associated with a problematic link of the plurality of links.

Abstract: A caching mechanism is provided for use by a Bid Manager in a multi-agent resource allocation bidding system. The caching mechanism stores the most recent bids issued by one or more Bidders for a given bidding context. The cache is updated using a notification mechanism.

Abstract: A web services request prefetching proxy receives web services registry requests from a client, applies a prediction rule to the request to generate likely next web services registry requests, searches the web services registry based on the predicted likely next web services requests, and preloads a caching proxy with a search result. The caching proxy receives web services registry requests and, depending on a hit or miss, reports to the client.

The PBXs are interconnected for propagating bid requests and replies therebetween. A cache table is maintained in each one of the PBXs for storing cached bid values for unused ones of the neighboring PBXs from whom replies have not been received responsive to a bid request. A subscribers table is also maintained in each PBX for identifying additional ones of the PBXs to whom bid value updates must be sent for updating their cache tables.
