The method includes: acquiring candidate areas from an image to be processed, each of the candidate areas including a reference target; extracting a predetermined characteristic of each of the candidate areas; calculating an evaluation value of each of the candidate areas according to the predetermined characteristic; and acquiring a snapshot of the image to be processed according to the evaluation values.

Abstract: Preview images and alternate enlarged facial preview images may be displayed in a camera display screen or viewfinder prior to shooting a picture. When an image captured by a camera during a first time duration includes a human face, a face from an image captured by the camera during a second time duration may be enlarged and displayed as an alternate preview image in the viewfinder. An instruction to shoot an image may be received and the camera may shoot or save an image captured by the camera according to the shooting instruction. The alternate preview image including the facial enlargement may be used in conjunction with use of a selfie stick to aid users looking at a distant viewfinder at the end of the selfie stick.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and an apparatus for generating an image filter. The method includes receiving a first image that is selected with a specific imaging effect desired for the image filter, generating a group of images corresponding to the first image, wherein the group of images comprises at least a second image of a common structure characteristic with the first image and without the specific imaging effect, calculating a mapping relationship for transforming the group of images to the first image and storing the mapping relationship to be used as the image filter to generate the specific imaging effect on other images.

Abstract: The present disclosure, pertaining to the field of terminal technologies, relates to a method and apparatus for recommending contact information. The method may include: determining an age of an owner of a mobile terminal; determining, based on the determined age of the owner and stored contact photos of a plurality of contacts, a candidate contact from the plurality of contacts; and displaying, in response to receiving a share instruction with respect to a designated image, contact information of the determined candidate contact, the designated image being any image in a photo album to be shared. According to the present disclosure, one or more candidate contacts are determined from a plurality of contacts, and upon receipt of a share instruction with respect to a designated image, contact information of the determined candidate contact is displayed. This may improve speed and accuracy of searching for contact information, reduce search time, and enhance image sharing efficiency.

The method includes: acquiring a Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) feature set for each respective pixel point in an image, wherein the HOG feature set is configured to reflect straight line characteristics of a localized portion where the pixel point locates; determining at least one candidate direction of a straight line to be detected according to the HOG feature sets of the respective pixel points; and detecting a direction and a position of the straight line precisely according to the candidate direction. The present disclosure efficiently avoids the errors caused by binarization, and increases the accuracy of the detection of straight line.
