  • Patent number: 11698285
Abstract: A method can include obtaining a first weight measurement of a receptacle and obtaining a second weight measurement of the receptacle. The method can further include calculating a first difference between the first weight measurement and the second weight measurement, resulting in a reference dispensation value. The method can further include obtaining dispensation data, the dispensation data including a measured dispensation value. The measured dispensation value can correspond to a quantity of a substance dispensed from the receptacle, the quantity of the substance passing through a dispensation monitor coupled to the receptacle. The method can further include calculating a second difference between the reference dispensation value and the measured dispensation value. The method can further include determining that the second difference exceeds a threshold and adjusting the dispensation monitor in response to determining that the second difference exceeds the threshold.

  • Patent number: 8326622
Abstract: The invention discloses a system and method for filling out a form from a dialog between a caller and a call center agent. The caller and the caller center agent can have the dialog in the form of telephone conversation, instant messaging chat or email exchange. The system and method provides a list of named entities specific to the call center operation and uses a translation and transcription minor to filter relevant elements from the dialog between the caller and the call center agent. The relevant elements filtered from the dialog are subsequently displayed on the call center agent's computer screen to fill out application forms automatically or through drag and drop operations by the call center agent.

  • Patent number: 7783488
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for remote tuning and debugging of an automatic speech recognition system. Trace files are generated on-site from input speech by efficient, lossless compression of MFCC data, which is merged with compressed pitch and voicing information and stored as trace files. The trace files are transferred to a remote site where human-intelligible speech is reconstructed and analyzed. Based on the analysis, parameters of the automatic speech recognition system are remotely adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6381320
Abstract: The present invention affords a predefined class of authorized users of the PSTN (public switched telephone network) access to extended telephone services through public communication networks external to the PSTN, the latter networks including the web and Internet. Authorized users in the predefined class can receive the extended services at residences, offices, and locations remote from both residences and offices. Authorized users can activate respective extended services through the external networks, and can do so without having to communicate with telephone company, representatives. Resource management intelligence of the PSTN is adapted to link to the external networks for communicating with and delivering extended telephone services to the authorized users. Extended telephone services include variations of presently standard telephone services such as call waiting, caller ID, call forwarding facsimile image transmittal, voice mail, etc.

  • Patent number: 6324584
Abstract: A method and system for operating a router in a computer network. When the system receives a request from a client machine connected to the computer network to access data at a remote server location having an address, it accesses the remote server at the address via the computer network. The router causes the data to be transmitted from the server to the router. The system maintains a pre-determined profile at the router, which profile contains storage selection criteria. The system selectively determines whether the data is to be stored at the router by comparing the data and/or the address to the storage selection criteria. If the data conforms to the criteria, it is stored in a mass storage device at the router and transmitted to the client machine which initiated the request. When a subsequent request is received at the router to access the data at the remote server location the router first accesses the data from the mass storage device to determine if the information is already present locally.

  • Patent number: 6278704
Abstract: The present invention affords a predefined class of authorized users of the PSTN (public switched telephone network) access to extended telephone services through public communication networks external to the PSTN, the latter networks including the web and Internet, in situations wherein the users have only a single telephone line that is shared for receiving both extended telephone services and standard telephone services, and wherein the extended services are deliverable while the shared line is connected to the external network. The shared line can be a line serving a residence or business establishment containing equipment for communicating through the external network(s) and equipment used in standard telephony (e.g. standard telephones, standard facsimile receivers, standard computer fax modems, etc.). The extended services can be activated automatically, by interaction between users and computer intelligence in the PSTN, without assistance from human representatives of the PSTN.

  • Patent number: RE38596
Abstract: Disclosed are call processing methods which are performed by a network terminator located at a subscriber's premise. The network terminator is coupled to a digital network and a communication device at the subscriber's premise and can perform call waiting, caller identification, call conferencing without intervention from a telco's switching system that requires an additional charge to the subscriber for these services. In addition, the network terminator can perform a method which allows two digital communication devices coupled to one S-bus to share a communication session. In another embodiment, up to a six way conference call can be established with an analog telephone coupled to an ISDN network via the network terminator of the present invention.
