  • Patent number: 11925597
Abstract: A lift system has a back panel and a seat panel to provide a seat for a user. The back panel is slidably mounted on a support column via slider so that the back panel can be moved up and down to adjust the seat height. The seat panel can be flipped back to accommodate a user in a standing posture. With the support column, the lift system can be attached to a wheeled frame, a pole, a rotatable arm, a wall or a ceiling depending on the need of the user.

  • Patent number: 11607360
Abstract: A lift system has a back panel and a seat panel to provide a seat. The back panel is slidably mounted on a support column via slider so that the back panel can be moved up and down to adjust the seat height. The seat panel can be flipped back when the back panel is in an upright position. The back panel, together with the support column, can be oriented in a horizontal position and the seat panel can be adjusted similarly. With the support column, the lift system can be attached to a wheeled frame for mobility, but it can also be attached to a pole, a rotatable arm, a wall or a ceiling.

The seat panel can be flipped back to accommodate a user in a standing posture when the back panel is in an upright position. The back panel, together with the support column, can be oriented in a horizontal position and the seat panel can be adjusted similarly to support a user in a lying posture. With the support column, the lift system can be attached to a wheeled frame for mobility, but it can also be attached to a pole, a rotatable arm, a wall or a ceiling depending on the need of the user.

  • Publication number: 20160026979
Abstract: The invention pertains to a system and method for an adaptable application platform developed with the concept of a system adapting to people's day-to-day tasks, as opposed to people adapting to many disjoint solutions that were developed to address specific problems. The invention is based on reducing the tasks people perform into a small set of basic tasks and implementing these tasks on the platform along with the necessary support functionality. This allows users to develop their specific solutions and interact with others over the platform using a simple common interface without any programming knowledge or special skills.

  • Patent number: 8515831
Abstract: The invention pertains to a system and method for people's task management developed with the concept of a system adapting to people's needs as opposed to people adapting to the solutions that were developed to address specific needs. The invention is based on classifying tasks into items produced and items consumed by entities such as individuals, groups of people, businesses and organizations, and then matching the entities based on the consumed items and the produced items, establishing communication paths to facilitate delivery of items from produced entities to consumed entities. The invention also describes a system for developing hierarchies of building blocks starting with the person as the basic building block. Higher level building blocks are formed by establishing alliances with lower level building blocks. Accommodating and streamlining the process of performing the people's tasks will result in significantly reduced overheads associated with people's task management.

  • Publication number: 20110181089
Abstract: A portable harness that wraps around the rib cage and thoracic spine is disclosed. Unlike other harnesses, the present invention has an extension allowing it to be suspended above the user's ribcage to apply an upward pull. This suspension strap provides a distracting/unloading force on the lower back by holding the upper torso in place while the weight of a patient's lower body creates traction on the lumbar spine. The harness can be used with any chair back, including office chairs, or vehicle seats. This allows people with lower back pain to sit more comfortably while sitting in a regular chair, driving a car, or flying in a plane. This will decrease low back pain since sitting for long periods will no longer compress the lumbar spine, it will actually be therapeutic by allowing a person to sit in an unloaded position.

  • Patent number: 6450923
Abstract: People suffering from back pain would be able to use the apparatus more effectively to relieve the pain. This apparatus can also be used by common users for strengthening and stretching exercises that conventional exercising equipment such as treadmills do not provide. Combinations of a general frame along with multiple attachments form an effective exercising apparatus. The user of the apparatus shifts weight from the spine or lower back to hands while performing exercises. Ordinary upright position causes more stress on the lower back, and the weight of the upper body in motion may make the situation worse. By suitable placement of hands and selectively distributing upper body weight to hands, the user would be able to control the amount of weight reduction on the lower back or spine as needed to achieve the best results and comfort.

  • Patent number: 5375196
Abstract: Three terms (X,Y,"Error") are combined in a single floating-point number in an advanced microprocessor to compute pixel addresses. The floating-point number is reconverted to integer form in multiplexers operating in a mode determined by slope, relative to unity, of the line to be defined by the pixels. The output of the multiplexers is enhanced by a look-up table to produce color data, which are converted to analog form for display. Speed of operation is greatly augmented by the use of floating-point arithmetic to compute the pixel addresses.

  • Patent number: 5265210
Abstract: This method and apparatus are suitable for inclusion in the "graphics circuit board" of a personal computer. The digital output of the computer is used to plot a series of "pixel pairs" which, taken together, closely approximate the desired path of a line to be drawn on a display device such as a color cathode-ray tube. The addresses and relative intensities of the pixels of each pair and of the series are computed so as to produce a line that is substantially free from the "jaggies" resulting from "aliasing" in prior-art apparatus. Computation of addresses relies upon both integer and floating-point numbers.
