Patent number: 11914622Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for efficient factor analysis of a large population of data records, using factors that are categorical variables. Computation is balanced between extracting key factors by training a machine learning classifier on a reduced sample of data records, for computational efficiency, and scoring the categorical values of the key factors on the entire population, for accuracy of results. A joint factor is constructed by combining all proposed root factors, and the sample is generated by stratified sampling on the joint factor. The key factors are selected from candidate factors which can be combinations of the root factors. Original variables of a dataset, whether categorical or not, can be binned to obtain new categorical factors. Variations and user interfaces are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2020Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Nikita Iserson, Sawinder Kaur, Yogeshwaran Kandasamy, Balaji Elumalai, Ashish Tripathy, Karl-Peter Nos

Publication number: 20110185529Abstract: A cleaning implement includes a joint for attaching the handle to a cleaning end and permitting two opposing sides of the cleaning end to be used to clean a surface. The joint is constructed in a manner that permits the desired movement of the cleaning end, but also utilizes few components and has a structure that permits quick and simple assembly. The cleaning end can include features that enhance its strength and stability. In addition, the cleaning end can include features that enhance the transfer of fluid from one side of the cleaning end to the opposing side of the cleaning end. Further, the cleaning end can include features that promote the drying of a cleaning material attached to the cleaning end after use.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 7, 2011Publication date: August 4, 2011Applicant: Freudenberg Household Products LPInventors: Balaji Kandasamy, Joseph Seifts

Publication number: 20110158740Abstract: A spray mop comprising a handle, a spray housing, a cleaning end, and a bottle. The spray housing can be coupled to the handle and can include a nozzle. The cleaning end can be coupled to the handle and the spray housing. The bottle can be removeably coupled to the spray housing and can have a body for enclosing a fluid. The body can have a first end and a second end. The bottle can have a shroud disposed at the second end. The shroud can have a support surface for supporting the bottle in an upright position when the bottle has been removed from the spray housing such that the bottle can be filled with a fluid at the first end. The spray mop may have a pump mechanism with a reload spring disposed outside of a fluid chamber. The nozzle can be removeable from the spray housing.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2010Publication date: June 30, 2011Applicant: Freudenberg Household Products LPInventors: Balaji Kandasamy, Joseph Seifts, Shun Shing Choi, Nancy Gaul

Patent number: 7942298Abstract: A stapler includes a base member, a magazine for receiving a plurality of staples, and a drive member including a driver blade movable relative to the magazine for ejecting staples from the magazine one at a time. The stapler further includes an input member pivotally coupled to the drive member. The input member is configured to receive an input force and transmit the input force to the drive member for driving movement of the drive member relative to the magazine. One of the drive member and the input member pivots about a pivot axis that moves relative to the base member along an arcuate path.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2009Date of Patent: May 17, 2011Assignee: ACCO Brands USA LLCInventor: Balaji Kandasamy

Patent number: 7681771Abstract: A stapler movable between a rest position and a stapling position and having a front end and a rear end. The stapler includes a base, a staple magazine coupled to the base and configured to hold staples, and a driver blade operable to drive staples out of the staple magazine during stapling operations. The stapler further includes an elastic member coupled to the driver blade and operable to move the driver blade during stapling operations. The elastic member utilizes potential energy to move the driver blade during stapling operations. The driver blade is positioned above the staple magazine when the stapler is in the rest position and the magazine is extendable from the front end of the stapler to allow a user to load staples in the magazine. The stapler is configured such that only the potential energy of the elastic member can operate the driver blade during stapling operations.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2006Date of Patent: March 23, 2010Assignee: ACCO Brands USA LLCInventors: Balaji Kandasamy, Mark Harris, David Kirby, Edward T.
