  • Patent number: 10856100
Abstract: A mobile device may identify nearby locations, such as locations of a merchant. The mobile device may create local geofences around the nearby locations. The mobile device may create an exit geofence which includes all of the local geofences. In response to the mobile device entering one of the local geofences, the mobile device may provide a notification regarding the location. In response to the mobile device leaving the exit geofence, the mobile device may identify nearby locations based on the new location of the mobile device, and the mobile device may create new local geofences for the current nearby locations, as well as a new exit geofence.

  • Patent number: 9140123
Abstract: A ripper tool for a tunnel boring machine includes a tool body and a plurality of cutting element inserts. The tool body has a plurality of socket cavities. A tool body blank can be heat treated to increase the hardness of the tool body blank. The socket cavities can be machined in the tool body blank after the tool body blank is heat treated. The cutting element inserts are mounted to the tool body. The cutting element inserts are respectively press fit in the socket cavities. The ripper tool can be pivotably mounted to a cutter head of the TBM.

  • Patent number: 5586057
Abstract: An industrial equipment operating status scanner for recording the location and exact time of all switch/contact openings in an industrial machine or process. The scanner of the present invention also provides an indication as to whether the fault was intermittent or continuous. Thus, system fault diagnosis is made simple and reliable, resulting in less down time and less loss of revenue to the owner of the industrial machine(s) or process. The scanner provides an indication firstly of whether or not the machine is operational, secondly, in the event of an intermittent problem, the scanner displays which input device is faulty, and thirdly, in the event that operation of the machine has been stopped, the scanner displays which input device caused it to stop. In addition to the foregoing, the scanner displays also which input is preventing the machine from starting again. The time and date of the fault is also displayed by the scanner of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 5217745
Abstract: Method and apparatus for applying a programmable pattern to a succession of moving objects, comprising a microprocessor for storing a user defined value representing the length of the pattern, a clock for generating a series of pulses and a photo-eye for detecting the presence of the succession of moving objects. Upon detecting the presence of a first one of the moving objects, a set-up mode gate is enabled for transmitting the clock pulses to a first divider circuit. The first divider circuit divides the number of transmitted clock pulses by the user defined value and in response generates and stores a first count value. Upon detecting the presence of subsequent moving objects, a run mode gate transmits successive predetermined numbers of clock pulses to a second divider circuit. The second divider circuit divides the successive predetermined numbers of clock pulses by a first count value and in response generates successive further count values.
