  • Publication number: 20090318089
Abstract: A method of switching a communication device between an uplink communication path and a downlink communication path is provided. The method measures a power level of signals on at least one radio frequency for one of the uplink communication path and the downlink communication path. The measured power level is compared with a threshold power level. Switching between an uplink circuit and a downlink circuit is based on the comparison between the measured power level and the threshold power level.

  • Publication number: 20090164988
Abstract: An adaptor provides functionality in a second version of a software to a first version by determining at least one functionality available in the second version but not available in the first version; determining a reuse or adaptation of an adaptor framework in the first version; mapping the functionality of the second version to the first version; importing code in the second version to the first version; and deploying the adaptor framework in the first version.

  • Publication number: 20070138077
Abstract: This invention relates to a magnetic fluid treatment device comprising at least one fluid channel, the or each fluid channel having at least two peripherally located magnets, the device being adapted to co-operate with a fluid supply conduit, so that, in use, fluid flowing through the fluid channel is subjected to a magnetic field; wherein the at least two magnets are located on opposite sides of the or each fluid channel and have a separation of less than about 90 mm. The invention further relates to a magnetic fluid treatment device comprising at least one fluid channel, the or each fluid channel having at least one peripherally located magnet, wherein the at least one magnet is removably received in a body section of the device.

  • Publication number: 20040037565
Abstract: In a wireless communication network, a method for transporting signals between a base station hotel and a remote cell site allows multiple uplink and downlink signals to be communicated using a single optical fiber. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, an RF transport technique uses frequency translation to shift the common carrier frequencies of diversity and sector signals to distinct intermediate frequencies that are then combined, converted to an optical signal and transmitted over a single fiber. The RF transport technique also uses wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) to communicate both uplink and downlink signals over the same fiber. Reference clock signals are distributed to ensure accurate frequency translation at both ends of the link. Reference power signals are also transmitted in both uplink and downlink to help perform signal power equalization.

  • Patent number: 5934298
Abstract: The present invention provides a combination sink and dishwashing apparatus having a sink sharing a common side wall with a cabinet which defines a closed space. The cabinet has a wire basket for holding and washing a plurality of dishes within the cabinet. The common side wall is a part of the cabinet that defines the closed space and is positioned to form one side of the sink. The common side wall can be opened to allow the wire basket to slide from within the cabinet and into the sink, for loading and unloading the dishes. Within the cabinet, the invention contains a pump powered by a motor, the pump spraying water through a rotatably mounted spray arm onto the dishes to wash them, as with traditional dishwashing machines. The invention preferably includes a garbage disposal which is also powered by the motor. In an alternative embodiment, this invention can include two cabinets as described above, each located on opposing sides of the sink.
