Patent number: 8858164Abstract: An air discharge system for an aviation turbomachine compressor is disclosed. The discharge system includes at least one discharge valve. Each valve includes a valve body suitable for moving between an open position and a closed position of the discharge valve, a camshaft including a cylindrical rod carrying a cam mounted to bear against the valve body in such a manner that rotating the camshaft causes the valve body to move between its open and closed positions, and a device for keeping the cam bearing permanently against the valve body. The discharge system further includes at least one main electric motor having its rotor suitable for driving the camshaft of each discharge valve in rotation, and an electronic control system for controlling each main electric motor.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2009Date of Patent: October 14, 2014Assignee: SNECMAInventors: Baptiste Colotte, Bruno Gaully

Patent number: 8240124Abstract: A method for producing the electrical power required for equipment on board an airplane is disclosed. Auxiliary power is taken off by a shaft driven by the high pressure turbine and, when idling, the efficiency of the low pressure turbine is degraded so as to enable the high pressure turbine to operate at a speed that is sufficient for delivering the required auxiliary power.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2008Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Assignee: SnecmaInventors: Baptiste Colotte, Jean Pierre Galivel, Zoltan Zsiga

Publication number: 20110097196Abstract: The invention relates to an air discharge system for an aviation turbomachine compressor, the discharge system including at least one discharge valve (10) each valve comprising a valve body suitable for moving between an open position and a closed position of the discharge valve, a camshaft (22) comprising a cylindrical rod carrying a cam mounted to bear against the valve body in such a manner that rotating the camshaft causes the valve body to move between its open and closed positions, and means for keeping the cam bearing permanently against the valve body. The system further includes at least one main electric motor (30) having its rotor suitable for driving the camshaft of each discharge valve in rotation, and an electronic control system (32) for controlling each main electric motor.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2009Publication date: April 28, 2011Applicant: SNECMAInventors: Baptiste Colotte, Bruno Gaully

Patent number: 7370468Abstract: A turbojet thrust reverser includes two doors each displaceable between an open position and a closed position of the reverser by at least one respective control actuator. Two electric motors drive the control actuators for the doors; each motor being controlled by an electronic control unit connected to a full authority digital engine control. Two servo-control devices control the displacement of the doors as a function of determined position references. The servo-control devices enable the doors to be displaced synchronously as a function of any variation in the forces exerted on the reverser and as a function of any force difference between the two doors.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2003Date of Patent: May 13, 2008Assignee: Hispano SuizaInventors: Baptiste Colotte, Alexandre Courpied, Marc Croixmarie, Patrick Joland, Gilles Le Gouellec, Marion Michau

Patent number: 7278257Abstract: A turbojet thrust reverser has two doors that are displaceable between a reverser open position and a reverser closed position, each door being controlled by a respective electronic control unit connected to a FADEC, and each door having a respective locking device for locking the position of the door associated therewith. Each locking device can be unlocked solely on receiving orders that come simultaneously from both electronic control units.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2003Date of Patent: October 9, 2007Assignee: Hispano-SuizaInventors: Baptiste Colotte, Alexandre Courpied, Marc Croixmarie, Patrick Joland, Gilles Le Gouellec, Marion Michau

Patent number: 7210283Abstract: Each manual control unit for a moving part of a thrust reverser is associated with a maintenance plate that is pivotable between at least two positions: a first or “normal operation” position in which said plate prevents the manual control unit with which it is associated from being driven manually, while allowing it to be driven electrically; and a second or “maintenance” position in which said plate allows the manual control unit with which it is associated to be driven manually while preventing it from being driven electrically.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2003Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignee: Hispano SuizaInventors: Baptiste Colotte, Alexandre Courpied, Marc Croixmarie, Gilles Le Gouellec, Marion Michau

Patent number: 6926234Abstract: A turbojet thrust reverser includes two doors each controlled by a respective electronic control unit, at least one sensor per door measuring at least one item of position data concerning the door, at least one sensor of each door being connected to the electronic control unit controlling that door, the electronic control units being connected to each other in order to exchange the position data, a FADEC having two channels each connected to both electronic control units in order to receive from each of the electronic control units data concerning the positions of each of the doors and data concerning the operating state of each of the electronic control units, the channels being connected to each other in order to exchange the door position data and the electronic control unit state data so that the airplane pilot is continuously informed about the positions of the doors and the states of the electronic units, even in the event of a breakdown in one of the electronic units and in one of the FADEC channels.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2003Date of Patent: August 9, 2005Assignee: Hispano-SuizaInventors: Baptiste Colotte, Alexandre Courpied, Marc Croixmarie, Patrick Joland, Gilles Le Gouellec, Marion Michau
