  • Publication number: 20200085123
Abstract: An elongate elastic member for assisting an athletic motion and a lower-body garment incorporating the elongate elastic member are provided herein. The elongate elastic member may have various configurations that permit it to be attached to a foot or shoe of a wearer and a torso of the wearer. The structure and as-worn configuration of the elongate elastic member and associated lower-body garment augment or inhibit joint moments during an athletic motion, improving the actual or perceived amount of energy expended to complete the athletic motion.

  • Publication number: 20190090561
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a modesty head cover for use during, for instance, athletic activities. The head cover is formed from a three-panel construction, where unaffixed perimeter edges of the three panels collectively define a face opening and a bottom margin of the head cover. The shaping of the pattern pieces used to form the head cover, and the subsequent seams joining the different panels are selected to produce a flattering fit without fabric bunching while still providing modesty coverage.

  • Publication number: 20180343950
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a garment having a hood system comprising an outer hood and a yoke structure positioned adjacent and internal to the outer hood. The outer hood is affixed to a neckline opening of the garment along the sides of the neckline opening but is detached from the neckline opening in the back. The yoke structure is selectively attached to the outer hood in two or more disparate location and is affixed to the neckline opening of the garment at the location at which the outer hood is detached from the neckline opening. The hood system is useable for distributing tension forces generated by pulling the front of the outer hood forward to, for example, cover a wearer's eyes when resting.

  • Publication number: 20180255883
Abstract: Aspects herein relate to a garment or article system having an internal layer and an external layer, the external layer has an inner surface facing the internal layer and an outer surface facing an external environment. Specifically, the garment or article system comprises a first slider mechanism affixed to the internal layer and a second slider mechanism affixed to the external layer. The first slider mechanism affixed to the internal layer is coupled to the second slider mechanism affixed to the external layer so that a pull or a directional force applied to the second slider mechanism is transferred to the first slider mechanism to reversibly transition the first slider mechanism from an open state in a first direction to a closed state in a second direction, and while maintaining the second slider mechanism in a closed state regardless of the direction of the directional force applied.

  • Publication number: 20180242653
Abstract: Aspects herein provide for a support garment having a vibration damping structure that is positioned between the breast contacting surfaces of the support garment. The vibration damping structure has a shape and/or material characteristics that enable it to substantially fill the space defined by a medial aspect of the wearer's breasts and the wearer's sternum. This positioning and placement facilitate the damping structure's ability to absorb and dissipate impact forces generated at least through the medial-to-lateral movement of the wearer's breasts during, for example, athletic activities.
