    Abstract: An anatomically designed secondary wound wrap, in one embodiment, adapted for receipt around a proximal phalanx portion, distal phalanx portion, and interphalangeal joint of a digit. The wound wrap is made of a loose weave, breathable wrap material. The wound wrap includes a wrap body having a first side, a second side, a first end and a second end. The wrap body is received around the proximal phalanx portion, distal phalanx portion and interphalangeal joint. A portion of the first end extends outwardly from the wrap body for forming a first wrap holder flap, with a first hook attachment thereon. The first hook attachment is used to secure the wound wrap around the proximal phalanx portion of the digit. A portion of a second end extends outwardly from the wrap body for forming a second wrap holder flap, with a second hook attachment thereon. The second wrap holder flap extends from the wrap body in an opposite direction from the first wrap holder flap.

    Abstract: An animal wound wrap used for holding a primary wound dressing, an IV tube and/or drain tube in place on an animal's body. The animal wound wrap includes an elongated abdomen wrap portion and an elongated extension wrap portion. The two wrap portions are made of stretchable loop-like loose weave material along their length. The abdomen wrap portion can be stretched along a first axis while the extension wrap portion can be stretched along a second axis at an angle to the first axis. The abdomen wrap portion includes a first end portion with hook fasteners and a second end portion for releasably engaging the hook fasteners. The extension wrap portion includes a first end portion attached to a side of the abdomen wrap portion and at an angle thereto. The extension wrap also includes a ā€œUā€ shaped second end portion. The ā€œUā€ shaped second end portion includes a first strap and a second strap. The straps are adapted for receipt around the animal's neck, tail, leg or other parts of the animal's body.

    Abstract: An anatomic secondary wound dressing holder for providing painless access to a radiation wound and the like on the body of a patient. The secondary wound dressing holder is readily adaptable to various parts of the anatomy of the patient for holding one or more primary wound dressings on the wound of the patient. The secondary wound dressing holder includes an enlarged dressing holder portion with an outwardly extending first strap with a hook fastener thereon and a second strap. The hook fastener on the first strap is releasably attached to loose weave material along a length of the second strap, when the enlarged dressing holder portion is received on the patient. The invention also includes one or more primary wound dressings with hook fasteners thereon. The primary wound dressings are infinitely adjustable on the enlarged dressing holder portion for receipt on one or more wounds on the patient's upper and lower body.

    Abstract: A facial wound dressing support device configured to accommodate a variety of facial injuries and expedites the healing process while minimizing the patient's discomfort. As facial tissue has a high degree of sensitivity and is cosmetically significant, rapid healing with minimal permanent damage is highly desired. The subject wound dressing support device includes a facial mask made of a loose weave “loop like”, stretchable, breathable, washable and reusable material. The mask is adaptable to a multiplicity of differing facial topography structures on the head and face of the patient. The mask includes releasable hook fasteners at a first end of the mask which engage the loose weave material at various locations along a length of a second end the mask for securing the mask around the patient's head and next to the patient's face. The facial wound dressing support system may include openings for the patient's eyes, mouth and nose to facilitate continuous use by the patient.

    Abstract: A combination medical protective guard and self-contained support for providing a painless access to a wound site, medical device or surgical site or protecting the site. The combination is adaptable for conforming to various parts of the anatomy of a human or an animal body and eliminates the use of adhesives. The support includes an elongated bidirectional wrap having hook fasteners at a first end for engaging a portion of a loop like material along a length of a second end of the wrap. The wrap allows for infinite adjustment along its length for either loosening or tightening the wrap when the site guard is received over the wound site or the infusion site. Also, the wrap may include a window opening with sides of the window opening received around a top portion of the protective guard. The window opening is used for viewing the site through the top of the protective guard.

    Abstract: A disposable wound dressing and support unit for delivering a variety of standard gauze pads on top of a wound and providing for a painless access to the wound. The disposable wound dressing and support unit includes an elongated bidirectional wrap. The wrap has an outside and an inside. The inside of the wrap is used for receipt next to the skin of a patient. The wrap stretches laterally in opposite direction along it's length and is made of a loose-like material. A sterile gauze pad is either releasably attached or permanently attached to a portion of an inside of the wrap. The gauze pad is received over the top of a wound on a patient's body. The bidirectional wrap is adaptable for conforming to various parts of the anatomy of a patient and includes a releasable hook fastener at one end for securing the end to any portion of the wrap. The wound dressing and support unit may be received around the trunk, head, limb, hand and other parts of the anatomy.

    Abstract: A tracheostomy tube dressing and support device unit used for holding a tracheostomy tube in place and holding a primary wound dressing, such as a sterile gauze pad, next to a tube insertion site in the front of a patient's neck. The unit includes an elastic bi-directional wrap stretchable in opposite directions along a length of the wrap. One end of the wrap includes hook fasteners for engaging an opposite end of the wrap and holding it in place around the neck. The wrap includes a window opening with a pair of hook fastener strips attached to opposite sides of the window opening and on an outside of the wrap. The hook fastener strips are used for releasable receipt through flange openings in opposite sides of a tracheostomy tube flange. When the hook fastener strips are threaded through the flange openings, the strips are secured to loop fastener landing pads thus holding the tracheostomy tube firmly in place.

    Abstract: An intravenous securing device and secondary wound dressing for holding intravenous needle tubing and catheter tubing in place in a variety of anatomic locations on the human body. The securing device and secondary wound dressing is used without the need of adhesives. The intravenous securing device and secondary wound dressing consists of an elongated bi-directional wrap stretchable in opposite directions along a length of the wrap. The wrap includes a window opening therethrough which is sufficient in size to allow for visual inspection of the skin entry site of a needle or a catheter without having to remove the wrap. The wrap is washable and reusable. The bi-directional wrap is adaptable for conforming to various parts of the anatomy of a patient and includes releasable hook fasteners at one end of the wrap for securing the wrap around an arm, a hand, a chest, a neck and other parts of the anatomy.

    Abstract: A disposable sterile emollient carrier device for delivering an application of an emollient is described. The carrier device is to be used for treatment of simple and/or complex cutaneous injuries and disorders on different parts of the human body. The disposable emollient carrier device includes an elongated bidirectional (stretches longitudinally) wrap having a bonded or movable emollient carrier platform thereon. The carrier platform may be either a medical grade foam sheeting surface or a porous mesh pocket. The foam sheeting surface allows the emollient to be applied directly to it, and then the combination applied to an intended area to be treated. Similarly, the mesh pocket receives the emollient therein and the emollient is dispensed through a porous front surface of the pocket to the wound. Both the foam sheeting surface and the mesh pocket include an impermeable back surface to prevent the emollient from bleeding onto the wrap.

The wound dressing support device consists of an elongated elastic unidirectional wrap which includes a window opening therethrough. The unidirectional wrap is adaptable for conforming to various parts of the anatomy of a patient and includes releasable loop and hook fasteners for securing the wrap around the trunk, head, limb, hand and other parts of the anatomy. The window opening may be of different widths, lengths and geometric shapes for application to different sizes and types of wounds. The window opening is accessed above and on top of one or more gauze pads placed on the wound bed. The wound dressing support device includes loops and hooks around the perimeter of the window opening for releasable engagement of a portion of the sides of the gauze pad.
