  • Patent number: 6085359
Abstract: A headwear apparatus for use in swimming is provided that has a generally hemispherically shaped swim cap portion with a forward section and a rearward section. The forward section has a forward terminal edge which is coupled to a goggle portion along the forward terminal edge. The goggle portion includes a left lens and a right lens that each have a front surface and an outer perimeter surface extending rearwardly from the front surface. The outer perimeter surface has an upper portion that is coupled to the forward terminal edge of the swim cap portion. The swim cap portion has a thickness defined by a top surface and a bottom surface, and the top surface of the forward section is in a planar relationship with the front surface of the lenses at the forward terminal edge. The swim cap portion has a rearwardly extending strap formed integrally with the cap portion.

  • Patent number: 5913943
Abstract: A brake lever assembly device is provided that can be mounted on the handlebars of a bicycle. The brake lever has a rear brake body that is coupled to at least one end of the handlebars and a front brake body that is pivotally connected to the rear brake body. The front brake body is moveable between an idle position in which the brake is not applied, and an engaged position in which the brake is fully applied. The front brake body is biased towards the idle position, so that the brake is not applied when no downward force is applied to the front brake body. Further, the front brake body is mechanically coupled to the bicycle brake so that pivoting the front brake body into the engaged position causes the brake to be fully applied. Still further, the front brake body and the rear brake body are coupled in-line with at least one end of the handlebars so that the rear brake body and the front brake body extend outwardly along a central axis of the end of the handlebars.

  • Patent number: 5636714
Abstract: A bi-parting elevator door actuator apparatus operably connected to a bi-parting door assembly having 1) a door interlock and power control assembly; 2) a bi-fold door actuator assembly; and 3) an electrical control circuit. The door interlock and power control assembly includes 1) a door latch assembly connected to the bi-parting door assembly to hold in a closed position; 2) a cam roller and linkage assembly engagable with the bi-parting door assembly to open and close a first power relay assembly; and 3) a door actuated power assembly having a second power relay assembly operable to be opened on opening of the bi-parting door assembly. An elevator drive motor is denied electrical power when a) the bi-parting door assembly is in an open position; and b) the traveling elevator car assembly reaches a predetermined position for stopping.

  • Patent number: 5626209
Abstract: A center pull bicycle brake assembly readily mounted on a racing bicycle assembly to apply braking action through brake pad members against outer side walls of a front tire member by use of in a conventional hand operated bicycle actuator handle member. The center pull bicycle brake assembly includes a dual acting brake contact caliper assembly having a cam actuated caliper member pivotally connected to a brake contact caliper member. The brake contact caliper members are readily adjustable to place the brake pad members in a close but spaced condition relative to the front tire member.
