    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of creating semi-moist pet food, and primarily dog food and dog treats, that is formed into a given shape through cooking the ingredients of the mixture contained in the dog food in an extruder and thereafter immediately transforming the mixture to a forming machine wherein the pet food is formed into a multiplicity of given shapes so that the dog food is produced as a final formed dog food or dog treat in an economically viable process. The given shape of the dog food is semi-moist and will retain its shape so that it can be broken into smaller pieces to be fed to a dog at selected times.

    Abstract: A computer program product corrects a detonation time from a ballistic table, based on the actual velocity of a projectile measured upon exit of the projectile from the gun tube. The computer program product transfers a 16-bit data stream, through a 16-bit to an 8-bit encoder, to a fuze controller implemented as an 8-bit platform, to provide precise timing adjustment to a fuze controller. The computer program product significantly improves the accuracy of detonation times for air burst mode. The encoder calculates the absolute truncated, square rooted, X, of the input time delay number, as well as the error correction number, Y. The encoder then transmits both numbers X and Y as an 8-bit data stream, optionally along with the parity data to the fuze controller.

    Abstract: A stab type fuze mechanism, such as the 30 mm M759 fuze mechanism, which utilizes a generally horse shoe shaped configuration anti-setback spin clip initially lodged in a grove within the body of a target sensing probe, but extending partially therefrom, which extending part rests against a ledge within the aluminum o-give—located rearward from the target sensing probe; thereby preventing the target sensing probe from moving rearward within the fuze during firing and setback. After firing, with the onset of spin, the anti-setback spin clip will open, expanding away from, out of, and clear of the grove and into a cylindrical channel in which the target sensing probe is lodged. Due to a thinned area at the apex of the clip, the expansion of the anti-setback spin clip will be a plastic deformation and the clip will remain expanded.

    Abstract: A target discrimination system monitors an acceleration switch signal to determine an impact of a projectile on a target. During a sample period of approximately 1.0 milliseconds, the system repeatedly samples the acceleration switch signal, compares the sampled acceleration sensor signal with a reference voltage, and sets a comparator data output to logic one if the sampled signal exceeds the reference voltage. Otherwise, the comparator data output is set to logic zero. The system counts the instances that comparator data output equals logic one during the sample period and executes a selected delay. The selected delay is approximately 50 milliseconds if the counted number of instances exceeds a predetermined threshold of approximately two-thirds of the samples and, otherwise, the selected delay is approximately 10 milliseconds. The selective delay enables target discrimination and selective detonation of a projectile.

The replicated copies of the data and the backup copy, as well as a process used to backup the data, comprise the test bed, which may be used to test the failover and failback operations.

    Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a filer or other storage server is coupled to a network to store files for users of the network. An agent is coupled to the filer, and performs a scan or file walk for a Multi-Appliance Management Application (MMA) which is coupled to the filer and can monitor and manage the filer. The agent assigns identification (ID) numbers to the directories while scanning them. The ID numbers are assigned in a depth first search (DFS) order to reduce the amount of resources required for specific queries that may later be required. Several types of queries, including determining the parent of a node, determining all of the children of a node, determining the immediate children of a node, and determining all of the ancestors of a node may be easily accomplished using the ID numbers.

    Abstract: A fast-dissolving, non-caking, food grade sodium tripolyphosphate is produced by spraying into a spray dryer an aqueous sodium orthophosphate feed liquor having an Na.sub.2 O:P.sub.2 O.sub.5 ratio of from about 1.60 to about 1.67 containing potassium hydroxide or a soluble potassium salt in amounts to yield about 0.4% to 0.8% by weight potassium in the final product, heating the feed to at least 440.degree. C. to form sodium tripolyphosphate, cooling the sodium tripolyphosphate and adding to it at least about 1% by weight moisture.
