  • Patent number: 7988323
Abstract: An Edison-style light bulb (40) which supports a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) (50) and an illumination source (54). First and second electrical circuits (56) and (58) are mounted in the bulb to supply electrical power to the illumination source and to the LEDs. A switch circuit (60) is connected to control the supply of electrical power to the first and second electrical circuits (56) and (58) to adjust and coordinate the light output from the LEDs (50) and from the illumination source (54).

  • Patent number: 7687744
Abstract: A novel apparatus for producing combined presentation of light and aroma to produce a desired overall sensory effect. The includes a fragrance dispenser (31), a light source (42), an audio system (52), and a microprocessor (99). The fragrance dispenser (31) is refillable and controllable, so as to adjust the rate at which the fragrance dispenser dispenses a fragrance. The light source (42) comprises a plurality of LEDs (40a-40c) of at least two different colors and is controllable so as to adjust the operation of the plurality of LEDs (40a-40c). The audio system (52) controls sounds to be emitted from the apparatus. The microprocessor (99) controls the rate at which the fragrance dispenser (31) dispenses fragrance and the operation of the light source (42) and audio system (52).

  • Patent number: 6994335
Abstract: A disposable and absorbent cutting board may be constructed from a layer of corrugations and an absorbent layer. The corrugations may be relatively small and tightly spaced to provide the board with strength and rigidity. The absorbent layer may be made of non-woven cellulosic fibers and include one or more score lines to facilitate folding. A backing layer may also be provided, on the layer of corrugations opposite to the absorbent layer, to provide non-skid oliophilic or hydrophilic properties.

  • Patent number: 6913255
Abstract: A disposable cutting board may be constructed from corrugated paperboard having one or more layers of corrugations. A first layer of corrugations may have relatively small and tightly spaced flutes to provide the board with strength and rigidity, and a second layer may have relatively large flutes to provide the board with cushioning against knife impact and protection of the underlying surface. The flutes may be parallel or transverse, while more than two layers may be provided.

  • Publication number: 20040011795
Abstract: Partially insulated dishware and cookware may be provided with selected areas of insulation to provide the user with the ability to grasp the dishware or cookware without the use of an oven mitt or other external device. The selected areas of insulation may also maintain a desired temperature for the dishware or cookware contents, provide sealing capability, and provide resistance to damage by way of shock absorption.

  • Publication number: 20030226882
Abstract: Disposable dishware and cookware may be constructed from corrugated paperboard. The corrugated paperboard provides voids filled with air to serve as a natural insulation barrier. In so doing the contents held by the dishware are maintained at a desired temperature longer without transferring temperature to the user. The voids may also serve as conduits or plenums to communicate hot air away from the cookware and thus provide for use at elevated temperatures.
