  • Publication number: 20090114599
Abstract: There is provided a method or a system for purification of water from neutral and anionic organic contaminants using either a mixture of a complex of an organic cation adsorbed on clay as a micelle, and a granular material or a complex of an organic cation adsorbed on clay as a micelle. There is also provided a column accommodating the mixture of a complex of an organic cation adsorbed on clay as a micelle, and a granular material.

  • Patent number: 7030062
Abstract: A herbicidal formulation comprising of incorporating the herbicide in a micelle or vesicle and adsorbing said micelle or vesicle containing herbicide on clay mineral. The formulation is suitable in particular for negatively charged herbicides at pH above 6. The herbicidal formulation provides slow release and reduced leaching of the herbicide to deep soil layers, thus reducing contamination of underground water and soil. Furthermore, the herbicide is maintained in the target vicinity, thus its efficiency is enhanced and a smaller concentration may be used.

  • Publication number: 20060039943
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of inhibitors of the action of eukaryotic-type Acetyl-CoA carboxylase for controlling insect pests. The inhibitors are selected from arylphenoxypropionates and cyclohexanedione oximes, or their mixtures which may be used together with suitable additives, excipients and carriers. The invention further relates to an insecticidal composition comprising inhibitors of eukaryotic-type Acetyl-CoA carboxylase and further to a method for controlling undesired insect pests by applying an effective amount of eukaryotic-type Acetyl-CoA carboxylase inhibitors.

  • Patent number: 6261997
Abstract: Slow-Release agrochemical formulations for the prevention of leaching and contamination of soil and ground water, are described. The agrochemicals are organic compounds with non-ionic and non polar molecular structures, which are adsorbed to clays whose surface properties have been transformed from hydrophilic to hydrophobic by previous adsorption of an organic cation, usually of quaternary ammonium structure, having at least one aryl group attached to the ammonium nitrogen atom. The intermolecular interactions of the agrochemical with the organo-clay surface result in a reduction of its leaching in the field.
