  • Publication number: 20070080364
Abstract: A white light emitting device includes a first light emitting device, a photoluminescent phosphor, a second light emitting device, and a current adjuster. The first light emitting device has a light emitting layer made of semiconductor, and emits blue light. The photoluminescent phosphor completely absorbs light emitted by the first light emitting device to emit green light. The green light combines with the blue light to form cyan light. The second light emitting device has a light emitting layer made of semiconductor, and emits red light. The red light combines with the cyan light to form white light. The current adjuster is electrically connected to the second light emitting device to adjust the magnitude of the current transmitted to the second light emitting device, thereby controlling color temperature.

  • Patent number: 6788541
Abstract: An LED matrix module of the invention has a circuit board, a thermally conductive plate and a plurality of LED chips. A plurality of slots is formed through a circuit surface and a bonding surface of the circuit board. A positive trace and a negative trace respectively extend from an edge of the circuit board. The thermally conductive plate is attached onto the bonding surface of the circuit board. The LED chips are respectively mounted through the slots of the circuit board in a manner to attach on the thermally conductive plate. Each LED chip is further electrically connected to the positive and negative traces on the circuit surface of the circuit board respectively via a positive electrode wire and a negative electrode wire. The LED chips are directly attached onto the thermally conductive plate through which the heat dissipates. The high brightness of the LED is thereby ensured.

  • Patent number: 6720737
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) illumination structure has a button-sized battery, a circuit board, an LED chip and a contact switch. A positive electrode of the LED chip electrically connects to a positive electrode of the button-sized battery, and a negative electrode of the LED chip electrically connects to the circuit board via a conductive wire. A transparent molding material encapsulates the LED chip and the conductive wire. One terminal of the contact switch electrically connects to the circuit board while the other terminal connects to a negative electrode of the button-sized battery. Direct attachment of the positive electrode of the LED chip to the positive electrode of the button-sized battery provides electrical connection and heat dissipation from the LED chip through the button-sized battery to stabilize the high brightness characteristic. The LED illumination structure is thereby constructed with a reduced size.
