  • Patent number: 7112019
Abstract: A spindle (1) in which the moving part (2) fixed to the tool-holding collet (3) is supported by one or more aerostatic bushes (4) on cushions of air generated by a jet of compressed air that circulates continuously along the air gaps (5) between the aerostatic bushes (4) and the moving part (2) and passes out of the spindle (1) through the co-axial aperture (6) formed in a flange (7) through which the tool-holding collet (3) projects from the spindle (1). Directing elements (8) are attached to the outside of the flange (7) to collect the air passing out of the abovementioned aperture (6) and cause it to adopt an outward direction of motion (E) that is tangential to or incident on the terminal part (3t) of the tool-holding collet (3) and roughly parallel to the axis of the spindle (1).

  • Publication number: 20050180832
Abstract: A spindle for machining at high rotational speeds, includes a toll-holding taper collet with radial slits that is kept closed to clamp a toool by pressing it axially against a seat of complementary shape by the reaction force of precompressed elastic elements interposed between the tool-holding collet and the body of the spindle, and is opened by moving it axially away from the seat by applying an axial force to it to further compress the precompressed elastic elements. In the spindle the elastic means are a sleeve of elastic material housed coaxially between the inside wall of a cavity formed in the body of the spindle and a shaped collar of epoxy resin applied coaxially around the outer surface of the free end of the tool-holding collet.

  • Publication number: 20050035518
Abstract: A workpiece clamp (1) for a machine tool that drills at high speeds is provided with two compression rings (2, 3) with holes (2f, 3f) of different diameters for the passage of drilling tools of different diameters. The rings are mounted on the clamp, symmetrically and on opposite sides of the drilling axis (Z-Z) in such a way that they are able to rotate about the horizontal axes of two pinions (4, 5) meshing with a rack (6) that is moved in both directions relative to a central point (P) through a stroke (C) by a double-acting pneumatic piston (7). The form, dimensions and positions of the rings are such that, in response to the rotation of their respective pinions only one, alternatively, of the said rings is placed in the working position, with the axis of its hole coincident with the drilling axis (Z-Z); the other ring being laterally displaced where it does not interfere with the drilling axis (Z-Z).

  • Patent number: 6367678
Abstract: A process for correctly positioning layers of a multilayer printed circuit. A flat closed circuit is attached peripherally on each layer. Each layer is arranged parallel to multiple circuits that are fixed on a reference board. An alternating current flows in one of the fixed circuits. The alternating current electromagnetically induces a current in the flat closed circuit, which in turn electromagnetically induces electromotive forces in other fixed circuits. The characteristic values of the electromotive forces are a function of the relative positions of the fixed circuits with respect to the flat, closed circuit. These values are used to correct the position of each layer on which the circuit is attached until each layer or parts of each layer are stacked in a predetermined position relative to at least parts of the fixed circuits. The corrected position is the position which each layer must maintain in the multilayer circuit. The layers are secured by hot soldering of interposed sheets of synthetic resin.

  • Patent number: 6299390
Abstract: The headpiece is equipped with an aspiration system for continuously sucking up and removing shavings that are formed during machining of a flat board. To the headpiece are attached one or more shaft-like elements, which push on the board that is to be drilled via one of their elastically yielding edges, thus leaving exposed and encompassed between them an area of the board where the holes are to be made. A box, which is open toward the area where the holes are to be made and to which the aspiration system is to be fitted, is attached, over its entire length, to at least one of the shaft-like elements.

  • Patent number: 6280124
Abstract: A tool-holding spindle (1) for machining with the removal of swarf in which rotary movement of the spindle (1) and a tool (2) coaxially fixed to it and axial forward and backward movement of the tool (2) are required, in which the tool (2) is fixed in a hollow member (7) which can move axially and rotate with respect to the body (1d) of the spindle (1) within which it is housed, magnets (4n) forming part of a linear motor (4) whose stator windings (4s) are housed in the body (1d) of the said spindle (1) around the hollow member (7) being fixed to the said hollow member (7), is described.

  • Patent number: 6227778
Abstract: A description is given of a set (10) consisting of a spindle (1) and tool (2) for machining operations to remove shavings by means of rotation, wherein the clamping of tool (2) is accomplished by the action of centrifugal force acting on one or more of the parts that comprise the set, whereby said spindle (1) ends in a cylindrical cavity (3), inside of which is coaxially secured a cylindrical member (5), whose part that faces tool (2) has one or more diametral cuts (6) that divide it into two or more symmetrical portions (5s, 5t) that are able to bend outward in the radial direction under the action of centrifugal force, and wherein tang (7) of said tool (2) ends in a hollow cylindrical tube (7e) that is able to accommodate at least part of said portions (5s, 5t) of said cylindrical member (5), the walls of which have a thickness (S) that is equal to distance (D) between interior wall (3k) of said cylindrical cavity (3) of spindle (1) and the exterior wall of said cylindrical member (5), whereby during the ab
