    Abstract: A method of deep-frying food in a fryer basket having multiple segregated compartments. The fryer basket divider has a generally planar wire mesh sized to reside within the fryer basket to form multiple compartments in the fryer basket, with a handle extending from the top. The handle has oppositely disposed distal ends extending generally perpendicularly from the side of the mesh and which are retractable by squeezing the handle.
