  • Patent number: 10365237
Abstract: A device for the analysis of fluid distribution in an absorbent article is disclosed. The device provides for a frame, a pressure chamber disposed in contacting and mating engagement with the frame, and a NMR sensor in cooperative engagement with the frame and the pressure chamber. The pressure chamber further comprises a top plate and a conformable surface. The absorbent article is disposable between the top plate and the conformable surface. • Publication number: 20180248983
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for a single Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial IoT (IIoT) unified platform. In disclosed embodiments, a protocol stack for an end-device can be modified to interoperate with a common interface over different radio technologies. Since the protocol stack for a user equipment conforms to a common signaling protocol (even though the two or more portions are separately executed in different nodes), the a unified (common) interface technology can be used. A unified network can facilitate security, roaming, Quality of Service (QoS) and mobility features, with different access technologies. A single unified IoT/IIoT core also enables roaming between similar or dissimilar access technologies, thereby providing seamless IoT/IIoT connectivity.

  • Publication number: 20170196045
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for hybrid access to a core network. In one embodiment, a wireless router enables a subscriber device to connect to a core network via an intermediate network (e.g., a Wi-Fi network) rather than the network traditionally associated with the core network (e.g., a cellular network). In one implementation, a Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) is configured to directly connect to a Long Term Evolution (LTE) core network as a logical evolved NodeB (eNB).

  • Publication number: 20170105239
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for a network-agnostic wireless router. In one embodiment, the network-agnostic wireless router is configured to provide an access tunnel (e.g., a so-called “Wi-Fi PIPE') via a first network (e.g., a Wi-Fi network), and convert the data payload for transfer over a second network (e.g., a LTE network). Since the wireless router provides an access tunnel and does not behave as a logical endpoint, the authentication, authorization, and accounting mechanisms are handled directly between the subscriber's identity module (e.g., SIM, USIM, CSIM, RUIM, etc.) and the network operator's authentication process (e.g., Authentication Center or AuC). The disclosed wireless router is free to support multiple different networks to provide access that is “agnostic” to the underlying subscriber device's network preferences.

  • Publication number: 20160014127
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for hybrid access to a core network. In one embodiment, a wireless station enables a subscriber device to connect to a core network via an intermediate network (e.g., a Wi-Fi network) rather than the network traditionally associated with the core network (e.g., a cellular network). In one implementation, the subscriber device connects to the wireless station at the (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) TCP/IP layers. Methods and apparatus for securely authenticating the subscriber device via the wireless station are disclosed. In one such variant, the subscriber device is a SIM-less device.

  • Patent number: 9130641
Abstract: A repeater mediates traffic between a network transceiver and a user transceiver in a wireless communication system. The repeater comprises a network unit that maintains a network link with the network transceiver, a user unit that maintains a user link with the user transceiver, a two-way communication pathway between the network unit and the user unit; that facilitate the communication of signals between the network transceiver and the user transceiver in autonomous repeater hops between the network transceiver and the network unit, between the user transceiver and the user unit, and between the network unit and the user unit, and a gain controller that compensates for propagation losses between the network unit and user unit alone.

  • Patent number: 8570983
Abstract: Systems and methods for full duplex communications on a wireless link between two transceiver devices are disclosed. A first portion of outbound data is transmitted from one transceiver device to the other transceiver device on a first channel, while a first portion of inbound data from the other transceiver device is received on a second channel and the presence of a radiating source other than the inbound data is detected. A second portion of the outbound data is transmitted from the transceiver device to the other transceiver device on the second channel, while a second portion of the inbound data is received from the other of the two transceiver devices on the first channel and the presence of a radiating source other than the inbound data is detected.
