Abstract: A method of automatically banderoling objects, for example banknotes, arranged in a bundle, by laying a banderole, for example a paper strip, about the bundle, preferably after the bundle was compacted, and thereafter sealing the bundle by jointing together preferably the end portions of the strip. The method is especially characterized in that the strip is jointed together by means of a self-adhesive label after the strip was folded about the bundle, which label is automatically separated from its carrier strip and attached on the strip. The invention also relates to an apparatus for carrying out the method.

Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment useful for the intracardiac stimulation of the heart, an elongated electric conductor is provided with an electric insulation covering, and has an electrode head which is electrically conductively connected with the distal end of the conductor, serving the purpose of supplying the stimulation pulses to the heart. The conductor or the electrode head is to be emplaced on the heart wall. It is the object of the disclosure to produce an endocardial electrode arrangement of the type initially cited which is readily embedded as a result of tissue growth and which nevertheless has a comparatively small volume. In accordance with the disclosure, this object is achieved in that, for the purpose of placement of the conductor, or of the electrode head, a loop or a plurality of loops consisting of soft, thin material is provided which is mounted on the electrode head or on the electric insulation of the elongated electric conductor in proximity of the electrode head.

Abstract: A system for assuring the correct positioning of a film cassette in a cassette holder in a device in which documents are withdrawn from a holder and transported to a position where they are photographed utilizing the film in the cassette, in which at least one suction cup is attached to the cassette holder with the cup having an opening lying in a plane corresponding to the correct position of the cassette in the holder and the suction cup is connected to a vacuum system and a pressure-sensitive device which is responsive to the correct or incorrect position of the cassette in the holder to operate or disable the document withdrawal mechanism or its drive source.

Abstract: A device for feeding and stacking documents in a box uses a driven endless belt arranged to sweep tightly along an open side of the box whereby documents may be taken in succession from a feeding station along the belt to the box. The open side of the box is oriented substantially vertically for receiving and thus stacking the documents in an upright position, and a guide roller with an over-shooting guide sheet is located adjacent the bottom edge of the open side to guide upwardly the belt and any form thereon to the open side of the box and to a belt roller located at a higher level than the guide means, while forming an acute angle with the plane of the open side, so that the trailing edge of each document snaps out from contact with the guide sheet before its leading edge abuts a stop surface provided at the upper edge of the box.
